oh neat, they're releasing games for the PS1 again.
seriously though; I love jurassic park to the point of knowing which animals they used to create the sound effects for most of the dinosaurs' calls/shrieks in the movie, but wow does that ever look fucking hideous. This'd be what I'd expect from a movie tie-in game, but jurassic park was almost two decades ago.

I for one love the art style, it's obviously not going for photo realistic graphics, feels more like a tf2: meet the dinosaurs style. Besides the fact that its graphics aren't battlefield 3 with talons, it's a dl game that spent nowhere near the time and money that most companies spend to create far less interesting games people! And wtf its JURASSIC PARK! Cut it some slack for cripes sake! I have a strong feeling that this is the game that every JP fan has been waiting for since the movie came out. You know.. because it has a story! And legitimate characters! And probably dino related beheadings! Now is the time to jump on the band wagon everyone! Or off! But do it quickly.. before the T-Rex nudges the band wagon off the cliff!
Gotta say, I don't care about the unimpressiveness of the graphics for this game. It looks like it could be a ton of fun. I'm hoping the gameplay isn't relegated to very specific situations that don't lend themselves much to a variety of nuanced possibilities. I'd enjoy having different situations trying to outwit a raptor each time I run across one, even if it's in the same location. Please please decent dino AI.
That might actually be impressive if any of that was interactive. For straight cutscenes they are way behind the times.
neoREgen: I gather you haven't seen the gameplay for JP. It's an adventure game stripped to it's bare minimum. Myst was more interactive. Basically it's a menu based choose your own adventure with QTEs. There's no movement and certainly no AI involved.

Aesthetic looks good, now ditch the QTE junk and make it FPS or TPS. It suits some games like Heavy Rain but this ain't no Heavy Rain.

I don't think the "art style" is purposely like that in this case. They tried to make it realistic but failed miserably. Those textures are SHIT.
Ah man, something about the sound of the wires on the fence just gets me excited. Like when those buses connected to wires above, in San Francisco, will at times make that noise ... and I can't help but imagine a T.rex tearing through its paddock fence.
Nice to see the folks here aren't as shallow as the ones on Gametrailers and YouTube. You have no idea how much unnecessary flack this game has gotten just because some people don't like the look of it.
