An open world full of wild jungle animals, with only your survival skills to keep you alive. That's Miasmata, one of the early games to be approved via Steam Greenlight. A new trailer has been released (spotted on PC Gamer), showing off what it can do -- I must say, I'm tantalized.
The promise of open jungle survival is something that always kept me coming back to Far Cry 2, and I'm thrilled at the idea of a game dedicated to that aspect. Plus, it has frogs in it, and frogs are always incredible, all of the time.
As with most indie PC projects, it could go either way. This could be a high concept that fails depressingly, or one of those precious games that go on to become a hallow'd gem. Either way, I'm excited to see more.
