Thank the promotional gods for the Japanese style teaser clip. They're always longer than your typical Western trailers, they're always narrated, and they're always slightly over the top. We love that.
What we have here is two minutes of footage and images from Atlus' upcoming PSP RPG Persona 3 Portable. This looks so good! I'd say it compares favorably to the PS2 version, wouldn't you? Revisit some of your favorite moments from Persona 3, like the school trip and the beach days, now with new art and voices and music. Notice the new dialogue boxes and the cursor-based map exploration. It's like this trailer makes it easy to wash over the 80+ hours you put in the first time you played it.
Japan gets their copy on November 1st. Us? Well, we're still waiting for Atlus to admit that they're localizing it and bringing it our way.

Meet the rest of the team
its been up on the Japanese site for a few days now, but its looking better than I expected it too. I was kinda worried when they said they were taking out a lot of the 3D areas in the day-to-day stuff, but it looks like its going to work.
I hope they bring this over stateside. After the many posts from you and Collete about Persona 4, I finally went out and got it, and so far have been loving it. While I'm not that far in (still working to finish up the rescue attempt of Yukiko), the game so far has me completely hooked. I'd love to have its predecessor for my PSP.
I'm not sure if I want to play this game again just because there's some new added content and that portability aspect but if Atlus USA gives us another one of those nice shiny packages with extras like OST, well...
Maybe now I will actually get around to finishing Persona 3.
I dunno, but I couldn't get into it the first time. I don't know if it may have been a general dislike of the style of the game and the characters in comparison to Persona 4, or if it may have just been a matter of lacking time or being Massive RPG fatigue after finishing 4.
At any rate, I'm looking forward to the new female protagonist.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
We probably won't hear anything about this from Atlus America until after it's out in Japan, still got my fingers crossed.
Maybe get Square Enix or Tecmo-Koei to do it, if you have to!

Also, at 1:42, I swear that looks like The Answer... Wasn't The Answer not going to be in this?
I started playing Persona PSP a couple days ago. I love Mark <3
I read a younger Yukiko is going to be in the game and I'm pretty sure that was Ms. Kashiwagi.
