Electronic Arts is not shy about telling you how great Battlefield 3 looks. The latest trailer is definitely pretty, and sports various soundbites from the press, including Destructoid, extolling the game's visuals. EA and DICE want you to know that eye candy is on the cards.
It helps that the action looks pretty damn cool as well. I'm starting to worry that I've had my fill of military shooters, but I've definitely got enough gas in the tank to take this one out for a spin.

By the way, to hopefully save myself from desktop purists if there are any here, I'd just like to note that I'm getting the laptop for various other reasons I don't care to elaborate upon.

I'm having trouble deciding what I like most about Destructoid videos. Is it the archaic age gate? Is it the advertisement with no volume control? Or is it the fact I can't pause the advertisement. I don't mind advertisements, but these seem to go out of the way to be annoying. JUST LET ME TURN DOWN THE GODDAMN VOLUME ON THE AD IF I WANT TO.
CAN'T WAIT. Just need to know what kind of new GPU will let me crank it up this far. I will be so sad that my dual GTX280s will likely be hitting the road.
It looks pretty, but pretty isn't everything. I actually really enjoyed Bad Company (the first one) because of the humour and sense of fun... the other Battlefield games really lacked that and seemed much more in the "generic shooter" mode.
cant wait! having said that im a console person so its probably going to look about 50% shitter than that for me. Fucking Crysis 2 ruined pc vs 360 hype for me. Bring on 360 2!

I'm not. Sorry to be a party pooper but all the game companies should get together and just make ONE 1stPerson MILITARY SHOOTER and release add-ons for it every years. The only thing that sets them apart from each other is the voice acting cast and whether or not the sound track includes a forgettable song by a rapper nobody has ever heard of. I'm sorry for being so harsh, but come on people.

Well of course they lacked that they did not even have a single player mode. This is a sequel to the main series not the spinoff Bad Company series.
