I was quite skeptical about DS3, with the addition of co-op and gun-toting enemies, but this video sold me. Thanks for posting, Hamza.

Otherwise it's looking better now. The first gameplay vid scared the crap out of me where and while I'm still not a huge fan of universal ammo, coop exclusive content, and the overblown action sequences where you explode in outer space and blast in through a solid wall without losing an inch of health like in Dead Space 2, it looks good.

Similar to Dead Space 2, it seems like Visceral is trying really hard to make a good game despite EA pushing for the utter castration of the franchise.

I think this actually looked worse. It's like DS2, but without the things I liked: pacing, world building, etc.

As a huge fan of both DS1 and 2, I'm very excited. And, before, I was HATING it. I thought they were seriously going to pull an RE5 and force a co-op partner to by my side all the time just to make it easier to implement a completely non-essential co-op feature.
And then I learned that Carter (?) wouldn't be there during single player and I was fine :)
I'm also fine with the new enemies. The ones that look almost human but then transform, the completely human enemies (well, I'm kinda okay with them), etc. Only thing I don't like is the co-op exclusive content, even though I plan on playing a good handful of co-op with a bud of mine.

Oh no, another flying through debris bit. Hated it in DS2, will hate it here. Also not feeling too hot about necromorphs having weapons like a bunch of Ganados wannabes. Next thing you know they'll be wielding machine guns and rocket launchers.

@Fuzunga: Easy, Lost Planet 3 is made by the people that made Legendary while Dead Space 3 is made by people that made quality games.
Am I the only one that thinks having Isaac or any survivor horror character be a part of a team that goes out and hunts the bad guys takes away from the horror a lot. Dead space 1 and 2, Resident evil 1-3, all silent hills, people forced into situations where they need to escape, need to survive. When Isaac joins some space army or Chris joins the BSAA, it takes away from the horror. After all they've been through, WHY THE HELL would they join a force that would make them see those horrors on a regular basis?
Am I in a minority for not caring what they do to a franchise? They can turn it whichever way they want for all I care.
I only care about one thing - when the game comes out, does it stand up on it's own? If it doesn't then. no thank you. Until then, it just doesn't matter.

I'm (finally) getting into RE5 co-op, so this looks like a good game to get after I'm finished. However, it's still an EA game so I'm going to have to wait for it to show up used at a good price. C'est la vie.
I got to laugh at all the relieved posters who originally flipped out over EA forcing co-op on players, as RE5 did, considering it was described as completely optional from day one. Now matter what, I enjoyed Dead Space because of it's solid Sci-fi backdrop and satisfying (to kill) enemies. I am sure this game will carry on that tradition. Despite what the some have said, it was never really a survival horror game, as much as it was a tense shooter.

Well yeah, they ARE journalists. They're adult people whose fucking job it is to write just a couple of sentences per day, and they consistently make mistakes like that. You both sound absolutely bloody retarded trying to defend them regarding this.

I wish they changed the character so Isaac was an NPC rather than the protagonist. He is too much of a badass and there is no longer a sense of desperation, which for me was were the horror came from as you get flung around wildly etc because now he knows what happens, how it happens etc. In Dead Space 2 he overcame insanity (sort of). Now he's too badass and is like Chris of Resi 5 punching fucking boulders.
Would much rather have him acting as a support character slowly descending back into insanity and becoming one motherfucker of a necromorphf or a fresh character to face him who has no clue what is going on and has more of an emotional connection to the place Dead Space 3 is set.

Game is looking awesome, dunno why so many people been hating on 3 since E3, everything I love about Dead Space seems in tact to me.
