Here it is folks, the Grand Theft Auto IV trailer. The trailer shows off various locations around the pseudo New York City, Liberty City. We also are introduced to the main character and which gang you'll be mainly working for, the Russians.

Aside from that, not much else is revealed. So until Rockstar releases some more videos, we just have to keep playing the guessing game. 

Is it everything you imagined it would be?

Amazing...playing as a Russian character...and the graphics were awesome..the day and night cycle, the seagulls, the water...fantastic.

This was definitely more of a teaser than a trailer, but still awesome nonetheless. It's good to see a whole new GTA rather than the previous "expanion packs."

Kudos to Rockstar, looks amazing!

I wonder how much of Manhatten will be replicated. Obviously you can cross the bridge to Brooklyn, so that makes me wonder what other borroughs are included.

The music gave me chills, and the graphics and detail of the environments, especially the roller coaster, looks really nice.The fact that the day and night cycle can be seen inside the Grand Central Station is also really cool.

Cut to the Russian guy. WTF ? Not too happy with the character ( or the way he looks for that matter ).

Now let's see some gameplay. Hopefully now that the floodgates have opened they won't be so tight lipped.

I'm totally pumped for the game, but my minor quibble is that I was hoping they would do away with the awful puns/dull innuendos for the next generation. But, lo and behold, there's the Getalife building. Is this still supposed to be funny after 6 years?

Cause man, it will be such an empowering, evocative moment once your poor Russian immigrant makes his first foray across the Brookfart Bridge.

haha yea so true...most games have very lame, stereotypical characters and storylines. I just kind of look the other way so I can at least enjoy the gameplay.

The trailer still didn't say "Grand Theft Auto" at anytime..intriguing!

I know this is pretty much the same thing, but.
Its Liberty City again, so its technically not NYC, even though its pretty much the same.
Just in case I need proof:
_IBER_Y over the harbor, and the boat says PLATYPUS Liberty City.
Looks good, the fact that the character is Eastern European is also pretty cool.

Gorgeous, lush graphics aside, I love the music they used in the trailer. Yeah, agree with the commentor re: Koyaanisqatsi!

I'm psyched up for this franchise all over again.

Looks good, but was way to short, and gives no indication of why the GTA series is relevant to gaming today. I thought this was going to be the next GTAIII, but I can't see them backing up those claims without seeing more than this short, but admittedly well-done, trailer.
