Here, have some random Spongebob Rock Band DLC photo

Last Friday, we passed along information about this week's Rock Band Music Store update, which included The White Stripes, Kasabian, and The Damned. Well, surprise -- there's more.

Today, three additional tracks appeared on the Rock Band Music Store -- Spongebob Squarepant's "A Day Like This," "Employee of the Month," and "Ridin' The Hook." Also known as "exactly what you've been waiting for since Rock Band was released in November of 2007."

This brings the total number of Spongebob songs in Rock Band up to (I believe) six, whereas the total number of playable Radiohead tracks is... two? And no Frank Zappa, Naked City, or Kelly Clarkson! What the hell, Harmonix?

See, this would actually be cool if they put some of the real cool songs from the show on there. Unfortunately, all those songs are about 40 seconds, so they put this crap on there instead.

How the hell could you do Naked City, or any John Zorn music in Rock Band? I think my head would explode.

This is horrible. Why are all of the Spongebob songs ones I've never heard of? Where's Sweet Victory? Campfire Song Song? Seriously, if you're going to do a Spongebob track pack, at least do songs that people have heard of/like.

They brought in Electric Six, and that's all I could ask for.

I will admit that "Ridin' The Hook" is a pretty fun song. The Spongebob and Patrick duet is very amusing, and is probably the best Spongebob song so far. Aside from that, the other two songs are less than meh.

Radiohead is a pretty shitty band and that's why they aren't in Rock Band very often.

I would rather listen to songs from Spongebob Squarepants than 99% of the music on Rock Band or Guitar Hero.

I downloaded it. My kids love it and it is only 80 points unfortunately dad has to play MW2 so not a lot of time to sing. But it was still cute to see them playing

I would STILL give my left nut to get COLD - Stupid Girl into Rock Band... along with like a dozen other COLD tracks.

@Fo0dNippl3

Well I do actually like The Sound of Animals Fighting.

@Gee-Man

If you have the same "good taste" in music that most everyone else on here has I'm not only glad to see it die, I'll listen to Alkaline Trio on its grave.

@JoeCamNet

Rivers Cuomo from Weezer wrote that song.

There are now 5 more Spongebob tracks in Rock Band than there are The Strokes tracks.

Justice, thou art a dick.

If you're going to put Radiohead in Rock Band (rather, if they let you put Radiohead in Rock Band) please put Bodysnatchers and Weird Fishes/Arpeggi in there. Definitely two songs absolutely suited for Rock Band.

I've never bought Rock Band DLC, but if Naked City was available I would buy everything the band ever released.

Naked City in Rock Band would be the tits, but I guess only half as fun without a saxophone controller.
And I'd literally kill to get "Electioneering" as DLC.

Why so much Spongebob and yet not the FUCKING THEME SONG! this seems so obvious, I don't have kids and would buy that.

And Kelly Clarkson? Glad to know the news editors at Destructoid have no taste in music, keep that poppy shit on band hero!

Actually this makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Harmonix is owned by MTV who is owned by Viacom who also own Nickelodeon. They won all the rights in-house, so this was a quick and easy cash grab.

I was hoping this meant that The Flaming Lips song they did for the Spongebob movie was in the DLC, there was a pretty good song by The Shins on that too. Lame

How the hell do you mention Radiohead, Zappa, and Spongebob in the same sentence as Kelly Clarkson?????

All three have better crooners than the latter.
