Here are your Left 4 Dead 2 Avatar Awards photo

As we shamble ever nearer to Left 4 Dead 2's release date, the information is flying thick and fast. Yesterday, it was discovered that Avatar Awards would be a part of the Xbox 360 version, allowing players to kit their soulless little Xbox Live imps with frying pans, medkits and shirts. Now there are pictures. Let's look at them!

These screens come courtesy of Official Xbox Magazine, and they look pretty snazzy if you're into that sort of thing. This is definitely better than the whole idea of spending actual money on pretend Avatar clothes, in any case, and I'd be tempted to nab a Medkit at the very least.

What about you? Gunning for any of these Awards, or does anything Avatar-related make you sick into a bag?

Definitely worth the $0.00. Anything more would be an insulting rip-off.

I think every game should have these, and they should scrap the paid ones...

Awesome, exactly what the avatars should be used for.

I approve this only because I love Depeche Mode.

Just looking at what you have to do to get the awards, I probably would have gotten all of these through normal play anyway. So I'm down with it!

I suppose this is the downside to getting the PC version. I'd love for a health pack shirt and pills.

Seeing how my brother controls my Avatar on Live (we share the account, he uses it for halo and cod4 and I use it for my random assortment of games I deem worthy), I have no use for it persay.

But I'd love to just get the medkit, because its sweet and free and would be a cool "I killed so-and-so many zombies" trophy.

This is how it should be for all games. Free avatar awards that you can put on that show your spectacular achievements. Like say beating fallout3 + all the expansions you get a Liberty Prime toy or Laser Pistol. Or beating halo 3 on legendary or getting all the meta-game achievements gets you a energy sword or whatever. Beating Bishock without harvesting any little sisters gets you a good-like plasmid like telekinesis, while harvesting every single one gets you Inferno/Shock. Getting 100 straight wins on sf4 on live gets you boxing gloves or fist wraps.

It'd be such a cool way to show achievements off outside your gamerscore.

Definitely cool Depeche Mode shirt and the Med-Kit looks pretty awesome. Looking forward to earning all these. Much preferable to paying for them.

@Kflame210 Obviously you do, enough to comment.

I'm glad to see developers finally using this feature cause there was no way I'd pay for fake clothing with real money!

Depeche Mode is probably my most beloved guilty pleasure of all time. Needless to say, this makes me very happy.

This is the only reason to care about the Avatar at all. When I first heard about the Avatar Awards, I though it was a neat idea. It's a quick way to show your devotion to a game, and it doesn't require you to spend any money.

More like this in future releases, Microsoft. Start talking to those third parties.

Sweet. Better than most other Avatar clothes, and best of all, they are free! Well, apart from the price of the game.
