Henry Hatsworth and the Puzzling Adventure is easily one of my favorite games of 2009. There are many reasons why I love this game and topping that list is the final boss sequence. It's just so mind-blowingly amazing!
Over on Offworld (one of my new favorite videogame sites), they got a hold of some art work and concept pieces from the game that show off a ton of stuff that didn't make the final cut. Most notable in the collection of concept art pieces is the inclusion of some bosses that didn't make it into the game, including one Evil Ben Franklin.
Hatsworth fans will definitely dig what they see and it's a nice distraction for those of you who are stuck at the final levels. Seriously, what is up with that crazy difficulty curve thrown in at the end?
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Still sounds super epic
But if anyone's still having trouble beating said final boss, here's a very spoiler-free method that is just devastating:
At some point you'll be up near the boss' head (layers will slide from the right to the left that force you to jump up to the top of the screen, near his head). When this happens, use Tea Time, then jump and press down-A repeatedly. This fires mines from your robot suit and they really end the fight quickly. It actually almost breaks the game, considering that this is only the second phase of the boss fight.
If anyone has nearly as much trouble as I did, that tip's a lifesaver!
Isn't it great?!?? I mean, when I was in the thick of it, I was incredibly frustrated and had a lot of trouble with the game--I bought it on day-one and just beat it yesterday--but every really hard part that I finally managed to pass somehow became retroactively amazing.
All of the boss fights were memorable. And you're right, the music is great, especially the 2nd boss song. I thought this game would be a would be a semi-forgettable title, but it's gone back on the shelf next to all the other games that surprised the hell out of me (Contra 4, Contact, Shiren the Wanderer, World Ends with You, Lock's Quest, Space Invaders, etc).
I haven't made it to the last boss yet, but the hints are appreciated Mr. Haskett!

Websley and the final boss were harder, honestly.
