Help NIS bring Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! to UMD! photo

Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! is already out on the PlayStation Network, but NIS America needs your help in getting the game out onto UMD. They need you to go to RosenQueen and place a pre-order on it. If they get at least 1,000 pre-orders going, then they'll manufacture the game onto UMD. You have until November 13 to make this happen.

If, however, they don't get enough pre-orders made, NIS is also looking at getting retailer support and may end up putting the game out on UMD anyway.

Also, donate!

Why didn't think of doing this in the first place? It seems a little late now since the game has been out for months(and was just on sale recently.

I don't see the necessity of it being a UMD. The original PSP has the ability to download games straight to the PSP itself, and going back and republishing it on a hard-disk (In my opinion) is only a detriment to Sony's original intention to go disc-less with the PSP.

Sony makes PSPgo, with emphasis on digital distribution only.

Publishers say "fuck you", and want UMD discs.

Hmmmm.........

Magnalon: I wouldn't call this a "fuck you" from publishers. Especially since it's just NIS doing this.

Putting the game on UMD assuages the concerns of those who prefer to have physical copies of games. And, it allows them to make the package worthwhile so as to assure a sell-out of the produced copies.

It also, perhaps, keeps the IP in folks' minds to promote Badman 2.

@Chibi
Something tells me it won't stop at NIS. This seems like a slippery slope.

This request is environmentally unfriendly. Just go download it on PSN.

Almost all the PSPs can access PSN. There's no need for this.

Except that there is a need for this, as I refuse to download a digital copy, I want a physical copy I can hold in my hands.

Fuck "environmentally unfriendly." I want a goddamn physical copy of a full fledged game, ESPECIALLY since it's by NIS! Therefore making it more rare and collectable.

In 10 years, when our PSPs or memory sticks or both stop working, I'd still like the ability to play the games I paid for. As much as I'm not a fan of XBLA and PSN, at least the major releases of the systems are still on physical media.

Think about it this way, if Sega had supported downloadable games for the DC, we'd be shit out of luck in getting those games back now if our systems or memory cards had crapped out.

Pacman,

PSN games can be copied to a computer for backup purposes with a USB cable. From there you can write them to CD, flash drive, DVD, or whatever.

I don't see why they need to release it on UMD, after all it was only 15 bucks on PSN and under one hundred megs. Seems like a waste to use all that plastic to place a game on umd when they have a decent delivery system like the PSN built in.
