Hellraid trailer looks sufficiently hellish and raid-like

7:00 PM on 05.08.2013

Phew.... wonder what Warren Spector makes of this then? When Hellraid lead producer Marcin Kruczkiewicz tells Eurogamer that the game is "made by guys in their 30's," he's not wrong. You can see the influence of a game like Hexen and old-school first-person fantasy games, even more modern titles like Dark Messiah too.

Whilst the setting doesn't look amazingly original, the gameplay might have some neat hooks. Hellraid will feature four distinct but familiar classes: warrior, mage, paladin, and rogue. It'll be really interesting to see how much the game's co-op will focus on working together and using each class' unique "interlocking abilities." An old-school, hack-and -slash game with co-op? Now you've got me interested.

A bunch of skeletons explode in the first 20 minutes of Hellraid

Techland's decision to delay Hellraid and move it to PS4, Xbox One, and PC seems to be paying off. That said, you may want to skip the first half of this 20-minute video -- it begins with the first level, which is slow to ge...more

Hellraid won't be ready in time for release this year

Between Hellraid and Dying Light, it's the former Techland game I'm more curious about. (I'm burned out on the developer's zombie titles. Can you blame me?) While this does rather blatantly look like a project from the people...more

Hellraid gameplay trailer has so many skeletons in it

Techland's first-person fantasy slash-em-up Hellraid has my attention with this new trailer, which features zombie knights and skeleton warriors dying by the bucketload. It's being compared to Hexen, and that may be valid --...more

I picked up the Excalibastard in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

There has been a bit of talk about an interesting legendary weapon in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel that is in plain sight, but unavailable at first. Excalibastard is stuck in a stone in the area Stanton's Liver, and only those...more

Shadow of Mordor: A visual tour of stabbing orcs in the face

Mordor may not have the most picturesque landscapes in Middle-earth, but that hasn't stopped Monolith from kitting out its new action game with a photo mode. The addition allows you to take dramatic shots of Talion stabbing U...more
