Mmm... how I can't wait. It's been FAR too many years.
Wow, that didn't look half as generic as I expected it to be. I like what they've done with the place.
ha
Your mom's a fortress!
At least they didn't go the route of some beefy "uh, uh...say what again?" idiot sort of route.
Meh. I'm going to spend more time being the scout and/or the spy. And hopefully, I wont die of old age before it comes out.
here's the writeup from Steam news for those interested:
We are pleased to announce that the next generation of facial animation technology for Source will be released in Team Fortress 2. By leveraging the rapid pace of advancement in PC graphics, videogames can now match and actually surpass the facial animation used in feature film and broadcast television production. We've released a video of this real-time, in-game, in-engine facial animation in action in support of ATI's launch of the Radeon HD 2000 series. By running entirely on the GPU of the videocard, the facial animation not only looks dramatically better, but frees up the CPU to perform other tasks like physics or AI.
They should do one of these for each class
CRY MORE NOOB
I love the cartoony style they switched to, the game has much more character now.
"Who touched Sasha!?!"
I am Robert Summa, I like blowing things up, Pew Pew.
But Srsly, I think this Game is going to be fun.

What does all that mean for the 360 version?
Blowing things up is what video games are all about, brotha!
This is going to be so much fun!
I'm so glad someone posted this, good job Summa. I'm a gigantic TF fan and though this will be alot different than previous TF games, I'm still really excited. I mean, THE SHIT LOOKS AWESOME!
To be honest I thought maybe they were gonna do one for each class. That'd be awesome!
And that is why Heavy has always been my favorite class.
Oh yeah, now I remember why I still need to upgrade my PC. And to think I was just going to game on my 360.
medic + heavy = own
Glad that all of the classes are leveled out. Where's my orange box, Valve? Episode 2 looks great, too. Gimmes my Portals and Team Fortress 2s. Now.
I loved the pure joy on his face as he blasted away there in the end of the clip
It's going to be tough choosing which one to play, TF2 or HL2
Funny assed shit. I really, really like the stylised look of the game. FPSes these days just take themselves way too seriously, this is a nice change of pace.
Awesome. Can't wait.
you should seriously stop using gamevideos.com - half the videos the audio is f'ed up.
I use gametrailers.com with better results... they have all of these there too. And in HD no less.
This game looks TITS!
God damn.
It would be pretty awesome if they made one of these for each class.
That video is pure awesomeness.
This game is going to be great!
There's a video at gametrailers where they don't focus as much as this one - but it has a LOT of the other classes touched upon... I like it: http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=12827&type=mov&pl=game
imbeta, try sliding the volume nub down and then back up. I had to do that once and only then did I ever get sound on Gamevideos.com clips. I've only had to do that once.
I'm really hoping (but not holding my breath) for stuff like this in-game. Like, when he's shooting everyone and laughing, that'd kick all kinds of ass if that shit happened during the game. I'd be laughing and yelling the whole time myself, even if I'm the one catching the bullets.
Summa said:
"I think it's safe to say that for most of us PC FPS players, we've been anticipating its release like no other."
personally i'm not putting this up there as THE most anticipated FPS evah, right now (for me) that belongs to ET:QuakeWars.
but the game looks fun as hell.
"OH my god who touched Sasha "?%22%22
Check out the latest 1up Show to see the medic class in action.
mini guns make my day, i can't wait. [:
The more I see the more I like. Can't wait.
My God . . . This is AWESOME!!
This will be the greatest LAN party game of all time.
Looks like I'm going broke to upgrade my PC...
Sasha?
Win.
oh man this game is going to RULE!!!!!!!!
Does he yell "Catch 'da Bullet" at the end? I mean... I almost need that on a t-shirt...
I'm starting a server for this, BAR NONE.
Heavy Weapons Guy is my new hero.
This isn't TFC, go away. :P
"I have yet to meet one who can outsmart bullet."
I almost pissed my pants during that video. Good stuff.
some of the best character lipsync animation I've seen in games.
Do want.
With shame, I have to admit that I never got to play the first Team Fortress, but it was in a computer lab at Columbus State that I first played TFC. In one of those early matches that day, I was playing Push with some friends of mine. Deciding to go on defense, I chose Heavy Weapons and planted my ass at the goal. A friend of mine on the other team was making a desperate run with the ball, making her way past all my other teammates. As soon as she ran into the room, I held down the fire button and kept the crosshair on her, even as she ran under the catwalk I was on. Finally, just mere feet from the goal, she ran out of health.
I've played defense in Quake 2 CTF matches before, but never with such finality and effectiveness. The Heavy Weapons Guy earned my undying respect that fine day.
Hmm... I actually hadn't thought of picking up that orange box. but if Team Fortress 2 is as good as that Heavy Weapons Guy Video...
I'll buy it...
Awesome, I've loved the change in animation and direction that this game took from the beginning... and the more they animate, the more I love them. Can't wait!
i want
God that game looks freaking awsome
