Heavenly Sword Part II: The Guardian of the Sword

7:35 PM on 08.13.2007

The latest installment of the animated Heavenly Sword shorts has hit the net today. This second short, entitled "Guardian of the Sword," delves deeper in the mythos and history of the "heavely sword" itself. Apparently, it consumes the souls of men, driving them mad with bloodlust. That doesn't sound similar to anything else, does it?

The PlayStation 3 game itself is absolutely gorgeous, without a doubt, touting some of the smoothest animation seen in videogames to date. But can you imagine the collective brick that gamers would drop if the game looked like this video?

The first video, "The Legend of Sword," is already up on the PlayStation Network in high definition. Expect to see some HD "Guardian of the Sword" action this week, when the PlayStation Network updates this Thursday.
