Joking aside there are some really good shows on HBO Go, like Game of Thrones, Deadwood, Bored to Death, Boardwalk Empire, Curb, and The Wire.
I sure did love Tru Blood...then they started introducing every mystical creature they could find. It used to be about vampires, now it seems everybody in town has some sort of super powers ::sigh::
@nanowerx The idea of everybody having superpowers has worked well for Heroes, X-men, Avengers, and the Justice League. Besides, it follows a book series so it'd be difficult to omit it.
A lot of people, like myself, who have HBO can already access many of the HBO shows through their cable providers "On Demand" features. HBO Go will be awesome since I'm pretty sure you can access all of the HBO shows, not just the more current ones.
Can you use it without adding hbo to your tv service? Like can I just pay to watch on the console like hulu or netflix?
Werepanthers were in the book. And any thing can be were animal. Open up your d and d monster manuals lol there's were everthing.
I'm all for it, but I'd have to look into how much it costs when this happens (HBO can't be just giving it away)

lol, yeah.. Everyone having powers worked REAL well for Heroes. As for the rest of your examples: Those are all super hero comics.. Everyone having powers is sort of required.
I think the point nanowerx was making is that the show started out in, for example only, Buffy territory and ended up in convoluted Heroes land. Even if it follows the books (which is a good thing that they're sticking mostly to that) it still doesn't mean this town isn't over saturated and becoming VERY unrealistic compared to the shows original tone.

What I want to know is whether or not this will require an HBO subscription. I don't have cable and don't have a huge interest in subscribing to cable, but I really want HBO stuff. This sort of thing would be absolutely ideal and my PS3 would love it! Guess I need to write a letter of question to HBO!

Currently, HBO GO only works if you are subscribed to the HBO Channel. Even then, it's not available on all cable providers. I have it through DirecTV, and it's awesome, but if you don't have cable or satelite at all it's an expensive proposition. Who knows, maybe one day they'll let people just subscribe to the service without having to have HBO. But today is not that day.
Hell yeah bitches! On demand is great but doesn't have back episodes of everything. I don't watch shows or movies on my computer so I've never used the service.
Dammit HBO. I'm interested in your programming but currently am not subscribed to, nor have any real interest in subscribing to, a premium television provider. I have money, though! What do you mean that's not good enough? Don't you want money? WHY WON'T YOU TAKE MY MONEY??
Funny, I remember all sorts of weres in the books. Who woulda guessed HBO would use them?
