HBO could be sharpening fangs for True Blood game photo

Those who can't get enough of the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse might be in for a digital treat, as HBO has recently filed for the trademark of "True Blood" for use in videogames.

What this means is anyone's guess. Could be anything from a full-on console title to a Flash game embedded into the show's official Web site. My wildest dreams have an entire Fangtasia space being made available for PlayStation Home. I mean, I hope I didn't make my Home avatar look exactly like actor Alexander Skarsgård (who plays 1000-year-old vampire Eric on the show) for no reason.

Speaking of the show, the season finale is on tonight. OMG!

I'm surprised this show managed to pick up after the first season, because that was such a travesty. It was an inconsistent mess.

As someone who lives in Louisiana, the bad accents on that show make me cringe even more than the bad acting. Who watches this crap?

Well are selling an energy drink or whatever it is with the name on it so it wouldn't surprise me if they took the name even farther.

Yet another bizarre licensing decision. As someone who appreciates the show for being an over-acted, over-accented piece of melodramatic soft-porn awesomeness, I have no idea where you would incorporate gameplay into this... Unless of course it winds up being part dating sim, part quicktime event buttonmash vampire execution, part dialogue-tree wankfest where you choose between saying "Sookie!" with self-righteous defensiveness and heavy-handed chivalry and "Sookie!" with self-righteous defensiveness and an overwhelming vampire boner.

Actually, this game could be awesome and retarded in the exact same way the show is. Proceed...

I'd like to put my dookie in Sooki- Wait, no. That... doesn't work. Uh. Never mind. I WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH ANNA PAQUIN. There. Okay. That'll do.

Actually, due to the mystery nature of the show (well, when everybody stops shagging for more than five minutes), I can see it work as a point and click game. Now law of TV tie-in averages says it will still be awful, but I think it's one of the more flexible ideas out there.

As for Torchwood, yes, it's awful...but Children of Earth was a cool bit of sci-fi that more than made up for two dire series.

Torchwood has it's bad elements, being over cheesy at some times and with some horrible acting (the welsh accents don't help the serious tone), but it is capable of greatness too.

Children of Earth is one of the ballsiest things I have seen on television.

@Kryptinite Agreed.
I watched the first season to see why it was so popular and couldn't figure it out. Unfortunately I got addicted to it in the process. I still don't know why I watch.

I'll take "another crappy vampire game" twice a year before I'll play the twenty plus zombie games in 2009.
