According to Ubisoft, the nectar-sucking first person shooter Haze is going to remain a PS3 exclusive for all time. It was expected to be a timed exclusive, but Ubisoft reps are now saying it will "never" go to another console. Those who want to play the adventures of Mr. Lightbulb Head will have no joy on the Xbox 360.
The decision is said to be recent, but definite. So far, no official announcement has been made, but the reps were apparently very sure of themselves, so I guess we can expect to hear something soon. By all accounts, it sounds like Haze is going to be a solid exclusive for the PS3, as the console gathers more steam.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I think (but don't hope) that's the reason it's not a timed exclusive. Please let me be wrong
And about the 360 dev kit, it is made by UBISOFT. They have other platform Dev kits laying around and they did originally plan to release it for the 360 but it was halted.
I think you guys are forgetting just who the guys are who are behind this game. A little group called Free Radical. You know, the ones behind Timesplitters, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, etc. You guys don't "think" it will suck. You "want" it to suck because you still believe "it's stupid to make a PS3 exclusive. You're ignoring the HUGE Xbox install base" even though that logic doesn't apply to any 360 exclusive.
On topic:
This is old news. Ubisoft said that 360 and PC development were canned all the way back in August.

O wait.... this is the 360... we have all the generic shooters. SHIT
That could be the case...or not at all. Maybe Sony paid Ubisoft for an exclusive? They have money and an exclusive title couldn't hurt Sony.
Have you ever played online on the PS3? I have and it is really poor compared with PC and XBL. Why make a game like this and then release it on the PS3 only? It's like making a great games with motion controls but only releasing it on the 360 instead of the Wii.
Bioshock was more than "half decent" and it only landed on 360. No More Heroes was more than "half decent" and it only landed on Wii. Why bash this one because it's a PS3 game?
Piss poor? Have you played Resistance? Warhawk? COD4? The only "piss poor" online is for the Wii, because it only takes Wi-fi, and those connections can get disturbed. However, games on PSN play just fine. Have you played UT3? I mean, I could keep going on
I played Warhawk for the first time this weekend and my only problem with the online was lack of access to friend's list and I have to click the Left Stick to talk. Other than that it is a charm with NO lag whatsoever! And the chat thingy is coming in a future update.
It isn't horrible.
I know it won't "automatically be good" but people are already giving this game the shaft, even though it's made by a proven developer. It's like me saying "GTAIV is going to suck, even though I enjoyed everything else Rockstar has done" or "Bioshock 2 is going to suck even though 2K makes great games"
The criticism this game is getting SHOULD be going to the more hyped Killzone 2, because Guerilla Games are the ones people should be worrying about, not Free Radical
No more heroes could barely afford to release on the Wii as it was. Bioshock was released when the PS3 install base was still rather low, although I don't know why they don't port it now.
"because it only takes Wi-fi, and those connections can get disturbed."
What? 0.o
I've got a PS3, so I'll check it out, if I hear good things about it. If not, I'll just stick with CoD4 on my 360.
What I meant by that is that Wi-fi connections are inherently unstable, especially for online gaming. An online game on the Wii will probably time out more often than a PSN/XBL game would not due to server problems, but simple internet connection. Unless of course your router is RIGHT next to the Wii, but even still, you have to open up ports, turn off the DMZ, mess with the firewall, etc.
And how could you say that Ubisoft had barely enough money to put the game on Wii. It's UBISOFT!!! And with low Wii production costs, that just makes the game look all the more cheaper, albeit, it was a great game. But do agree with you, I don't know why 2K won't port Bioshock 1 now...."M$ moneyhat*
It's kind of an odd game for Sony to have paid exclusive rights for. Timed exclusive is one thing, but permanently? They had to have given Ubi a big chunk of change considering whatever it sells on PS3 the 360 would've matched and exceeded by probably 20-25%. That's a lot of lost sales.
You can't trust Ubi though, they also played this game with Assassin's Creed. After Capcom swore RE4 would never release on another system (and then announced it for PS2 before the GC version even released) I never trust when publishers claim something will always be exclusive.
'sony can have it, cause its gonna suck'
'they can only release it on one system? its gonna suck'
you people are terrible. the game isnt out yet- we see chunks of footage and fragments of info and people think thats enough to judge how good a game is. not one of you (OR ANYONE IN THE WORLD) has played this game from start to finish to properly assess the games worthiness. i for one will be seriously considering picking up this game, because what ive seen looks good. i wont make any judgements until AFTER its released, NOT before.
I am interested in playing this and I got some people that I can do Co-Op with. Co-Op can make some of the worst games *cough*Army of Two*cough* at least somewhat enjoyable.
I'm pretty sure they had the whole game on show. We should have camped there and do an on the spot exclusive review!
I had a quick go but from what I played I thought the game was rubbish.... but the again I was probably crap at it.... I think I'm going to pass on this and wait for the next Timesplitters game
You hit the nail on the head

Dude, the Xbox and PS3 also use Wi-fi, the hell you talking about? It's just a way to connect to the router =/
3.5 points better than Condemned 2? wow!
A bunch of people actually did play it at Play.com Live and none of those impressions were good.
I have a PS3 and I still don't plan on picking it up.
