Haze has finally been given a release date. Rather, it's been given a general release window. Ubisoft has told us that the game will be released some time this May on the PS3. With the news of the release date comes the new trailer you see above.
Haze starts off with you working for the Mantel group whom use Nectar to increase their soldier's abilities and strength. Half way through the game, the main character sees that he's been on the wrong side and joins forces with the rebels and fights back against Mantel. Read up on my impressions of the game from PAX.
Hopefully the game comes out as planned this time. Still no word on the Xbox 360 release ... Oh you know it's coming eventually.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

How do you say it looks generic? It has more features in it than Halo 3. Team specific abilities, reversals, fain deaths, "nectar", and so on. It's made by the (practically) the same people who made GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark.
@ Takeshi: I got the PS3 for "free" with my Sony tv, and I am more than happy with just my 360. There hasn't really been any game to pull me away from it other than Uncharted and a few PSN games.
Saying that this might actually be the 1st game I buy for the PS3 is saying alot.
Why can i not hear about Haze without this coming to mind?
“Gaming for me is a religion and Haze is the shit!” said Jonathan Davis. “I had to come up with a track that can hit up that kind of rush I get from the game and I think we really rocked it!!"
After shelling out $600 for a system that has been used mainly as a Blu-Ray player and purchased for gaming, I feel my opinion is warranted. I work hard for my money, not to say that no one else does, so I feel that I can say whatever the fuck I want... and its the truth.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
The sooner it comes out, then theoretically, the sooner I can lick my screen when TimeSplitters 4 graces it.
