Now that we're into December, it seems okay that games are rolling out Christmas updates; any earlier and you'd have this cranky old man complaining on the internet and no one wants that. Hawken's latest update combines a whole new map along with a wintery version of an existing one along with some lovely Christmas-themed goodies.
First up, the new map is called Wreckage and it's based, appropriately enough, around the broken up husk of a shattered cargo vessel that's crashed in some swampland. I've enjoyed when Hawken have broken away from the earlier desert/urban maps and this new Wreckage maps seems to be another fresh change.
The other part of the update is Operation Frostburn which takes place on a snowy version of the jungle Last Eco map which was released a few months ago. It's suitable chilly-looking and you can now purchase or unlock some new Christmas wrapping paper skins or even a snowman repair drone which I have a feeling I'll be getting. There's also a hint at something nasty lurking in the trees so be on your guard. It might be Krampus: wonder how he'd take a missile barrage to the face? Not well, I'd think.
Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is out today, and it kicks the crap out of All the Bravest
