Since we mentioned earlier today that F.E.A.R 2 was being unbanned in Australia, these two videos are hereby dedicated to our Aussie readers. All three of them!
The above "comic book" trailer is creepy as Hell, and has actually made me really interested in this title, despite being less than impressed with the original game. Everything I've seen of F.E.A.R 2 so far looks to be an improvement, so here's hoping for a fun and scary FPS.
Beyond the jump, we have another video which I simply don't understand. Just watch it and ... enjoy ... I guess.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I'm not scared of poorly colored lineart.
Also stop putting little references to Shogo in your games and give me a damn sequel =<.
I DON'T WANT TO BE A NUMBER 2!
Looking forward to it still, not sure it's going to be worth buying at full price though, a la Dead Space.
System Shock 2 did it all way better, but Dead Space is still a fairly entertaining (albeit not very scary) game.
I talk about this comparison because I have as much anticipation for F.E.A.R.2. as I would for poking hot pins in my eyes.
I believe Monolith owned all the IP for F.E.A.R. except the trademark for the name of the game, which for some reason the publisher owned. So they did the contest to come up with a name, which actually was kind of a smart way of getting people to realize that two games were connected, as opposed to just coming up with their own name and hoping people would make the connection. Eventually, Monolith purchased the name from the original publisher.
FEAR was the only game I ever played that I felt the A.I could actually challenge me, sure it was not 'scary' but the tension, panic and excitement I had in that game was second to none.
I will buy this game. :)
Other than that though, the game itself looks good. I laughed at their IT video.
Can I win one of those PCs :3
I even purchased it for 360 after I played it on PC so that Monolith would have the cash to make a sequel to Condemned:Criminal Origins! lawl :x
Ego aside, I never played any of the xpac(s), so I hope to one day catch up when they release the trilogy/set.
