Since we mentioned earlier today that F.E.A.R 2 was being unbanned in Australia, these two videos are hereby dedicated to our Aussie readers. All three of them!

The above "comic book" trailer is creepy as Hell, and has actually made me really interested in this title, despite being less than impressed with the original game. Everything I've seen of F.E.A.R 2 so far looks to be an improvement, so here's hoping for a fun and scary FPS.

Beyond the jump, we have another video which I simply don't understand. Just watch it and ... enjoy ... I guess.

Eh, I honestly think the comic book style made the trailer less interesting.

I'm not scared of poorly colored lineart.

Looks like they took the same idea as Dead Space... doesn't work that well, but the concept was interesting.

Eh... actually that trailer thing made me hate this even more. Oh noz, the pissant little girl is back makin ur head asplode. I wasn't scared of her in the first game, so I don't really care about her being in it now.

Also stop putting little references to Shogo in your games and give me a damn sequel =<.

On behalf of the aussie dtoiders let me say that we appreciate the gesture, yet still are firmly resolute in not caring for this game

The first trailer wasn't scary. I wonder what happened to the pointman though. Were those his footprints?

Take it the expansion pack(s) wasn't considered canon then? Oh well.

Looking forward to it still, not sure it's going to be worth buying at full price though, a la Dead Space.

Someone explain to me again why they ever did that name contest for this game, before scrapping it?

Offtopic: I finally got around to buying Dead Space, and is it just me, or is it totally System Shock 2? In third person? Minus all the good stuff? And with far less keybinds to remember?

System Shock 2 did it all way better, but Dead Space is still a fairly entertaining (albeit not very scary) game.

I talk about this comparison because I have as much anticipation for F.E.A.R.2. as I would for poking hot pins in my eyes.

@Pew

I believe Monolith owned all the IP for F.E.A.R. except the trademark for the name of the game, which for some reason the publisher owned. So they did the contest to come up with a name, which actually was kind of a smart way of getting people to realize that two games were connected, as opposed to just coming up with their own name and hoping people would make the connection. Eventually, Monolith purchased the name from the original publisher.

Man, I can't wait for this game, the A.I in the first one was great, and still is, you'd think in the space of nearly 3 years A.I would improve in gaming, it hasn't.

FEAR was the only game I ever played that I felt the A.I could actually challenge me, sure it was not 'scary' but the tension, panic and excitement I had in that game was second to none.

I will buy this game. :)

Did they put Sonic in the game, or something?

Yeah, for me this is a preorder. It has been said but the AI was fantastic in the first. I also love the style. The enemies cuss when you shoot them/they see you/they fall/no apparent rasin. I thought that the game did a better job than Dead Space/RE4 at being scary.

Ugh, I hate their "Fear Alma Again". Firstly, because it's retarded and implies they're changing nothing to the half-assed formula of attempting to scare me. Secondly, because I didn't fear Alma the FIRST time, so it's very presumptuous.

Other than that though, the game itself looks good. I laughed at their IT video.

I guess I'm not jaded yet as I enjoyed the first game and am not vigorously talking shit about this one without having played it first. But everyone's a tough guy on the internet, I guess.

I even purchased it for 360 after I played it on PC so that Monolith would have the cash to make a sequel to Condemned:Criminal Origins! lawl :x

Ego aside, I never played any of the xpac(s), so I hope to one day catch up when they release the trilogy/set.
