Hopefully this will fill the pirate-shaped void left by the utterly stupid cancellation of Armada Of The Damned, which looked totally awesome. This is looking really cool though, hopefully we'll get some more information and some gameplay footage soon. I'm looking forward to learning more about it. Hopefully I won't have had to play the first Risen to get the story.
I'm tempted to purchase Risen, and Risen 2 when it eventually releases. Risen appeals to me -- I always, oddly, feel drawn towards the gaming equivalent of the runt of the litter.
i just hope that the fact that game is going multiplatform won't mean dumbing down. sadly there is a trend where game is exclusive to 360, gets dumbed down sequel on ps3/360 while when it's the other way around we're getting amazing multiplatform game(Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, anyone?).

1) Risen was a PC game that was ported to the 360, not a 360 exclusive.
2) More dumbing down occurs when games like this are ported from the PC to the consoles, not console to console.
3) One game does not indicate a trend.

I love Gothic 2, it's a great RPG. I haven't gotten around to Risen yet, but I'm excited for both Risen games for sure :)
