Capcom didn't bring their Lost Planet spin-off to E3, but it hasn't taken them long to get the cel-shaded third-person shooter back on our radar. The publisher has revealed the setup for the title's plot and the motivations behind its anime boy hero of a protagonist.
E.X. Troopers follows the exploits of a mischievous rapscallion by the name of Bren Turner. With dreams of becoming the top Gingira Vital Suit pilot on EDN-3rd, the brash young man decides to attend the NVEC educational institute with the not at all generic name of "Academy." Upon arrival to the facility the student's space transport is attacked by hostile suits, which Bren and his instructor Walter manage to fend off before escaping to the planet's surface.
We should have more details in the coming weeks as the forthcoming PS3/3DS title is supposed to be playable at Capcom's Summer Jam in Tokyo on June 30. Until then you can feast your eyes on these new screens and tap your foot in anticipation.
