Konohana sounds interesting to me because when I think Konohana, I think Okami, but it sounds like that place might be vegitarian. Umm, no thanks.
However, Bluebell seems like the place for carnivores, since they're "animal lovers". If they love them enough to add some seasoning and steak sauce to them, then that's where I'm living should I get this game.

A Harvest Moon game announced for a system is like announcing the sun will rise in the morning. It better be free considering it's just Farmville with a Japanese developer.

So they made two versions so that "everybody" can play it? Couldn't they just put out a DS version. It's not like people with a 3DS couldn't play it.

Harvest Moon is not Farmville. Shameful that you said that. The fact that farmville has ripped off blindly (and then what a nerve, accused others for copying them) one fraction of what one of the longest running game franchises offers, doesn't make them the same or equal. Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing spit on the ground.. and farmville came out of it. Shameful comparison.. it shows you don't know what you are talking about. Truly shameful. Next thing you will say that city ville is the same as sim city :D

If this comes out before Animal Crossing, I'll be buying another 3DS for my wife sooner than I thought.
The last few DS Harvest Moons (Grand Bazaar and Island of Happiness, especially) haven't really done it for me, but Two Towns looks to be in some ways a bit of a return to the series' roots.
I wonder, will the 3DS version see a Japanese release? Or is this just all Natsume?

It sounds to me like two towns arguing about who's food is better is just healthy competition. I think I'd rather see the game about the towns fighting over supplies, and you need to raise your farm and decide where to sell your harvest.
It doesn't show that I don't know what I'm talking about, it just shows that i couldn't care less about Harvest Moon or Farmville.
ahh, harvest moon games are always a good way to waste time, I shall be getting this on the 3DS when it comes out...even if i havent actaully got one yet ¬.¬
Farmville can suck it. Hope this is a return to the SNES form for Harvest Moon, though. Storylines are for games that don't want me to plant some turnips RIGHT NOW. Having something overlying won't bother me very much, but the plot for Harvest Moon for me has always been:

@RowdyRodimus: if you really didn't care about the games you'd skip their related posts altogether, but since you took the time to post one comment AND also come back and check this post again to see if someone replied to your arrogance I guess you do care; at the very least you care about feeling important.
Also, if you actually had played any Harvest Moon game you'd know they're not the same as farmville. But hey, since you don't care there's no reason for you to know about these games or have any basis to compare them, right?

I don't care if you couldn't care less, but to display such a stunning level of narrow-mindedness is just depressing to see in other gamers. I won't deny that HM is probably one of the least innovative game franchises around, but to compare it to the malformed filth-ridden creature that is known as Farmville is an insult of the highest degree.

I'm cautiously optimistic. All the handheld Harvest Moon's since FoMT have ranged from being really mediocre to even just plain bad for me. (Excluding Rune Factory)
The last several years has been a "take it or leave it" period for the series in my opinion. Last one that I was able to play for more than an hour or so was Friends of Mineral Town.
I like the core, full-featured HM games. I'm not really a fan of the "annual gimmick" ones.

When I read the headline my first reaction was "aaahhh fuck now I gotta get a 3DS." But if the content will be the same then I can stick my lite :P
