Happy Monkey Island Music Day! photo

Monkey Island Music day has been celebrated every year since Joystiq began the tradition on October 13th of last year.  Immediately afterwards it was picked up by Ron Gilbert and Kotaku.  With such a long and illustrious history, I would be remiss in letting this noble day slide by without an appropriate playlist.

Awesomes.

I wish they'd play the chapter titles music as well. I still sing that to myself during any movie's/show's chapter sequence.

Ron Gilbert, come back and make a new Monkey Island game.

Ghost/Zombie Pirate LeChuck > Geoffrey Rush.

I have never played any of these games, and apparently that's a crime.

Totally cool. So they got the traditional, the dance beat version, and the heavily percussionalized violin version, is there other renditions out there? How bout a hard rockin version. That would be the hardest rocking monkey head I've ever seen.

Eliza, thank you for enriching my life with these vids.

You're welcome, stummies. That remix is apparently popular among ravers who have no idea it's a cover. I hadn't heard of it until tonight!
