Happy holidays: Watch the 1982 Christmas Comes to Pacland holiday special photo
In honor of the holidays we present to you to 23 minutes of your life you'll never be able to get back -- Christmas Comes to Pacland.

This made-for-television cartoon special first aired on ABC in December of 1982, which makes this gem 26 years-old. But this Hanna-Barbera-produced special is truly timeless, giving us a deeper look at Pac-Man's family life, and some insight into what makes the little fellow chomp -- the spirit of giving.

Thanks to the Christmas miracle of YouTube, Christmas Comes to Pacland has been preserved for all to see; you can catch the three clips after the jump. Reindeer eating power pellets and the shocking revelation that Mrs. Pac-Man's name is actually "Pepper" awaits you.

@ B-Radicate

I think a more important question would be "Why not?"

I DVR'd this last year because I couldn't believe it was real. Unfortunately, it turns out this is very real...

Seriously ?

It's not that bad. I loved any kind of cartoons as a youngster. I had a soft spot in my heart for this particular gem every saturday morning for a year or two. There was a great villian in the cartoon too - Mezmeron - a half human / half cyborg sorcerer with a darth vader thing going on.
