Happy birthday to G4 TV's Zach Selwyn

11:05 AM on 04.23.2007 // NO LONGER WORKS AT DESTRUCTOID

Look, I drink...

...and from time to time I have the luck of meeting some great people in the industry. Aside from my chance meeting with Jesus at a bar in Denver, Zach Selwyn is one of the nicest people I have met yet. We got a chance to hang out with him in Austin at SXSW and from what I remember... well, from the pictures, it looked like a blast. A special Dtoid happy birthday goes out to him today. More on Zach after the jump...

A lot of you may not know that Zach is a little more diverse than just the world of G4. Did you know that Zach is also a really talented musician? His group Zachariah  and the Lobos Riders has a new album about out entitled "Alcoholiday" that is listed as, "Outlaw Country Rock with a burst of early 1970's psychedelic Desert cosmic imagery." Now, I may not have any idea what that means, but I do have the album, and I must say that it has grown on me quickly. If you like what you hear and want to buy it, be sure to check out this link.

His talent and history goes even deeper than that. Here is a short blurb that I copy and pasted from his MySpace page because I don't have the talent of Rob "Loose Cannon" Summa, or the smarts of one Nex "Insert witty comment here" Cavalli.

Zach Selwyn has enjoyed a unique and diverse career trajectory in this town of Hollywood, California. He has been in numerous films and television shows, but gained notoriety as the runner-up to ESPN's DREAM JOB show in 2004. Considered "The most talented contestant" by America and ESPN, he took his talents to "Extreme Dodgeball," "Around the Horn," a new ESPN pilot called "Holla Back" and shows for Bravo and Discovery Channel. Recently, Zach has joined the popular G4 show "Attack of the Show" and he is looking forward to traveling the world submitting field pieces that feature his own brand of humor, talent and originality.

Now you know. According to G.I. Joe, that is half the battle.
