Since the glorious Hamza Aziz stole the Birthday video spotlght yesterday, I decided to keep our little video for another day. Destructoid Europe community memeber and camera man, Roy Malcomber has decided to throw a video together using some clips of all the adventures Destructoid Europe has been up to over the last year, all thanks to the amazing Niero and Destructoid.com. If anyone cares beyond that, I've also decided to include a video of me rambling about how lucky I am -- this is my 4th year anniversary at Destructoid too.
Every single one of us feels blessed to be part of something so amazing, so here is to Destructoid's 5th birthday and to many, many more!
I have to say, joining up to the DtoidUK/EU e-mailer some year or so ago is probably the best thing I've ever done. I've been reading Dtoid on-and-off since late 2006 but for some reason (probably my lack of trust for most internet communities because let's face it, there are a lot of bullshitters on the internet) I didn't really muck in until yeah, a year-and-a-bit ago. I'm glad I did and regret not getting involved sooner. There is simply no downside to being part of Destructoid and especially Destructoid Europe. Honestly, I'm now gearing the whole of my 2011 around Gamescom, simply because of DtoidEU.
I'mma stop there because I have a feeling I'll end up writing a cblog about this or some such soon, but in closing: thank you Dtoid, thank you DtoidEU and last but far from least, thank you Hollie.
Woo, I'm in the video! (See you are still trolling me about the Big Issue. And displaying how petty I am at getting change out of my wallet). *rolleyes*
Yeah, it has been great. I look forward to meeting up with Hollie and the rest at Eurogamer this year (already booked time off, woo!) and if not, sometime between now and Eurogamer if I get a decent chance to meet up with you.
Also, 2012 will be important opportunity to meet-up because of the Olympics.
awww I love you Hollie! <3 thanks for always sharing your home with me whenever I was down in the UK. Seriously hottest gal right here people. She's the most wonderful and lovely person I had the pleasure of meeting :) Happy 4th anniversary to you on Dtoid~! <3

The tool was created by the folks at Nextly, a cool browser app that lets you skip from one post to another at the click of a key, and also lets you import your social feeds (or explore other favorite feeds, like Reddit). They're currently in beta and are curious to know what you think.
