HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!

1:00 PM on 06.23.2011

Today is the 20th anniversary of my favorite ever hedgehog that is blue and runs fast and is in videogames and is called Sonic. I decided to celebrate this beautiful event by debuting my first ever stop-motion film, Snonic The Snedgehog. It is inspired by Sonic and it makes me cry.

In all seriousness, as much crap as I've given Sonic games, I genuinely love that little blue fella. Sonic 2 was the first game I ever got the first console that was properly mine (and my brother's), the Sega Genesis -- or Mega Drive, as it is known in the UK where I used to live.

I still play Sonic the Hedgehog 2, to this day, and I will play it again today in celebration. SEGA and I are known to butt heads, but I earnestly want to thank the wankers for giving us twenty years of games that have ranged from utterly terrific to at least memorably bad.

Much love. <3

I got chills from the music in this Alien: Isolation launch trailer

Man, there sure have been a lot of Alien: Isolation videos lately. I guess that's the rote cycle of triple-A games marketing. Here's one more. But, this launch trailer may be better than all the other ones that have rel...more

Review: Alien: Isolation

From the old school "20th Century Fox" opening to the first few seconds, Alien: Isolation wants you to know that it takes after the first film from the series it was based on. One alien, one spaceship, one chance at survival. This is the game we should have gotten from Gearbox.more
