There is a lot of games Ilove on that list. But does it have an sd card slot, to load more? Because if those are all you can have, then no thanks. Not at that price. $100 and we'll do business.
Apple will sue the heck out of this handheld. It's rectangular, which is patented by Apple, it is black which is also patented by Apple and has a metallic band around, which as you may already know, it's also patented by Apple. :D
Weren't a lot of these games known for visual effects not seen in arcades or on consoles, such as jumping from foreground to background, and zooming in and out? I bet those will look GREAT on a tiny screen they were never meant to be seen on.
No Last Blade, no twinkle star sprites, no windjammers, no blazing star, etc. They always re-release the stuff they've re-released before with nothing new (and I would bet no follow ups to these initial releases) This isnt very appealing to me.
Yeah, this is going to fail at that price.... Especially when you can buy a 3DS for less, an XL for the same price and a Vita for $50 more....
Plus, you can get most of those games on one UMD for the PSP..

Fuck that's a pretty handheld. It's so devoid of all that flashy shit, I love it.
This is probably going to end up being one of those things people buy because of how cool it is, and not much more. If I had the money to blow, I'd grab one for sure. I feel like this is the kind of gaming device you pull out and show people years from now to impress them, like a Nomad or something.

I'm a jackass. Missed the expandable slot part. Alright, $150 and we have a deal, AFTER I read some reviews on build quality.
What??? $200 for a pretty solid looking handheld with a large screen and removable memory, a docking station that looks exactly like the classic gaming console (epic nerd out, especially given that fact that it was $650 in 1991 and no one could actually afford it), a classic arcade stick, and 20 games to go with it.

Even if you wanna play the illegal emulator card, a PSP is gonna cost you at least $130, and it's not gonna come with the dock or the arcade stick. Plus you lose all the aesthetics and nostalgia and you have to load up ROMs that weren't built to run on the hardware.

$200 is fairly reasonable if you consider the cost of acquiring an actual NeoGeo and the games for it, but whether or not they like it, this thing is going to be judged against similar ~$200 electronics and people are going to be less likely to buy it.
Now that said, if I had $200 that wasn't going towards the 20 something gaming related items releasing over the next few months, I'd consider it if they started releasing more official ROM's for free so I wouldn't have to track them down and know that they're good. The list of games is decent, but not system selling.

i think they should add more games like KOF95-99EVO, The Last Blade series, Samurai Shodown I-VI, Neo Geo Heroes, Metal Slug Complete collection.

@ctg PSPs can also emulate CPS2, CPS1, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, NES, Gameboy Colour, Playstation One, all sorts. It also has homebrew.

Considering you get all of those games with it, it isn't that pricey. Keep in mind that those 2D games are still up to par with most of the current generation's 2D games.
If that analog-stick and the overall comfort of holding one are as good as the ol' NeoGeo Pocket it is going to be a really great handheld. Also because those games are great. I love to have one.

I think you're missing the point. I'm not saying that PSP isn't worth $130. It's an awesome system with a great library of games, completely putting aside the illegal piracy aspect of it. I'm saying that, relative to other handheld alternatives that can play Neo Geo games, this is actually a pretty fucking sweet deal.

I always wanted to like the NeoGeo - some games like Magician Lord looked incredible - but the gameplay in its titles was usually lacking. I'd honestly rather play the regular 16-bit console titles from the time.
I'll buy this. Someone needs to. This looks slick, even it the 20 games are not everything they could be. This could be a total flop, but I'm happy to have a chance to breathe some life into the Neo Geo.

They should cancel this on get Neo Geo games on Steam, along with the rest of the KOF remakes.
Also, I'm pretty sure anyone with even a remote interest in playing Neo Geo games on the go can figure out how to make them work on a PSP.

The sad part is the Neo Geo saw some truly astounding software in its latter years, but every time there is a collection, or new edition, or psp downloads, it's always the same 20 titles that make the cut... every...*****... time...

Mannnn, I love this thing, but the list of games aren't my faves.
Let me throw extra money at you to get Super Sidekicks 3/4, Super Baseball 2020 and some of the later KOF's as a minimum and I'm there boyeeeeeeeeeeee.

You speak the truth, fella. I've got the UMD, and while I'd easily accept Baseball Stars 2, Metal Slug and Super Sidekicks again, alongside the chance to get NAM 1975 and Samurai Shodown 2, many of the other games won't interest me because I am not that big a 1v1 beat-em-up fan.

I'm assuming that the slot on the "system" is for docking the handheld and not actual neo-geo carts.
