Handheld Neo Geo due out this December, won't be cheap
The Neo Geo X handheld we heard about earlier this year will see a worldwide release on December 6, 2012, Tommo Inc. has revealed today. Priced at $199.99, you'll be thankful to know that it isn't merely a portable system; the package (dubbed Neo Geo X Gold) also comes with a joystick and a docking station to charge the handheld and output to a larger display via HDMI or A/V out. Oh, and this includes 20 pre-loaded games, such as Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters '95, Metal Slug, and Samurai Shodown II. The Neo Geo X handheld packs a 4.3" LCD screen, an expandable game card slot, internal stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Interesting concept, for sure, but the list of games isn't all that great. I would have expected more for something in this price range. At least for me, once you move into the $200 range, the hardware can no longer be an impulse buy. Full list of included games:

Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Great price for what it is. All new consoles I think should be portable/console hybrids like this from now on. If you check the site, it has a version that is the handheld unit alone that has an MSRP of $129.99. The extra $70 is for the docking unit and joystick, which, if they are traditional SNK quality, are worth it. 7:18 AM on 06.12.2013 Michael Pachter declares PS Vita deadJust before Sony's E3 press conference, analyst Michael "Frog Touch" Pachter predicted a practical no-show for the PS Vita.
