Hamsters vs. Humans dance-off in Home tonight photo

Tonight might be a good night to stay in, bust open a few beers, get pretty drunk by 8 p.m. PST and then watch whatever the hell is going to happen during Playstation Home's "Hamsters vs. Humans Dance-Off." What is at stake? Just the very nature of our souls as they are represented in lifeless avatars in Home itself. Evidently the giant Hamsters want control of home and the way to go about doing that is to have a dance-off in the Central Plaza area of Home.

The dance-off will also have a different purpose as whichever faction makes the longest chain will unlock a special reward for all of Home that will be coming in a future update. If you read that sentence carefully, you'll realize that the reward is an update for everyone which really isn't a reward at all. However, isn't the real reward getting together and actually breathing some life into Home? Yes, yes it is.

Is it just me or is that Mr. Destructoid in the top left hand corner of the event poster? Has he been secretly planning a hamster takeover of Home without letting anyone know?

I'm really questioning what was going through the minds behind Sony when weird crap like this is going on. Also, dammit, the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man's face is going to haunt my dreams for days to come.

hmmm... getting drunk and watching it sounds like more fun than participating! :)

not a big dancing fan, but i would really like this idea if the update was actually at stake. sony isn't under any obligation to improve home so forcing participants to earn updates would be pretty cool.

This actually sounds like it could be fun. I'm considering being a part of this tonight.

I've logged into home once since the full launch as the beta was very buggy, but after making out and grinding with Mr.Sadistic for a full hour while random people hit on us, I gave up and have never logged back in.

This story doesn't help my cause at all....lol

If anyone's actually going to this, as I have a UK account by the name of Gladiator_21, I "made" an American one to get onto their servers for "other stuff", so Cognito, Nexus and Jack I have you so add my USA one Zippyduda_

I wish I could transfer my trophies to that account :/ Then I'd just use that.

I'm attending just to witness the virtual humans get served by virtual hamsters.
