Haloid is quite possibly the most interesting Halo-related fan movie in existence. It manages to combine multiple genres and provide non-stop action as well as answer the question, “who would win in an ultimate showdown, Master Chief or Samus?”
While the answer to that very question might not be what most of us had in mind, it's definitely worth checking out. Whether or not you enjoy the Halo or Metroid games, you can still get some enjoyment out of Haloid -- the creator, Monty Oum, made sure of that.
I don't want to completely spoil the ending, because if I did, you would either call me a total liar or suddenly get the urge to plant a bomb in my mailbox for ruining the final sequence. Both outcomes would bode badly for me, so just sit back, relax, and watch this entertaining tale unfold.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

I HATE the ending. It was pretty sweet (the combat moved a little too fast) until it turned into some weird CGI lesbian softcore porn. But still, props to that guy. Nice job.
I love how people are commenting on the "CGI lesbian softcore porn" ending as though that's bad. Awesome combat + lesbians == spectacular. Simply epic. Call CliffyB, somebody.
"Internet: WHYYYYYY did you make Master chief a girl!?!?!? Master chief’s not a girl?!?!?! WHAT TEH HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU YOU FAG?!?!?!
Me: In the Halo story according to the books there were actually 32 Spartan soldiers, including women. If you look closely you can actually see the number 458 on the "Master Chick's" suit. 458 being the number of the Spartan that made a Cameo in the Dead or Alive series. Not much thinking went into it further than that though. Plus hot lesbians are awesome."
explans why master cheif in this one is an girl ....
Uggh...lesbians....why is almost every Samus fan some lesb-love sick retarded? They movie was awesome until the "hardcore chicks are always lesbians". And that final line was stupid. Samus doesn't have the burden of the world. It's the galaxy but then again I never get the feeling of impending doom upon the galaxy, but Metroid still kicks ass.
regardless of the ending... it was a very suspenseful little clip and i enjoyed watching it... seems to me though this was rendered in halo 1's engine for the PC, in fact im almost postive, and it still looks GREAT!
Wario67 has it spot on, there were several female spartans. Also there was another reference from the book... when the spartan used her sheild to deflect a missile.
that was certainly the craziest fan movie I've seen in a while. the girl on girl action was a nice touch. I'm a little tired of the matrix though. It is possible for a fight scene to be overdone. I kinda feel bad for Juno Reactor, in the sense that their music will always be associated with essentially a footnote in film history. So good job Monty Oum, just lay off the matrix.
I declare this to be the grandest video game fan-movie OF THEM ALL! Although, apparently I'm more of a nerd than I am a male, as the Spartan/Covenant battle sequence did more for me than the jubblies and girl-love.
Great machinima. I'm not all that familiar with Halo, but it looked very good. Why is Samus' suit all slick, though? I thought her suit has a matte finish..
There might have been female Spartans in Halo, but they were all genetically enhanced to be much larger and stronger than average humans. In other words, this lady wouldn't look like a stereotyptical hot lesbian at all, but more like a hulking body builder.
That said, while the movie was fun, the reason why the lesbian stuff is a downside for it is that it makes the whole experience about 1000 times cheesier. Too much cheese ruins the soup or... something.
Sorry to pee on anyone's fantasies. It's a hobby of mine.

Ummm... it's HAWT. Derrr...
there was some devil may cry moves in there
they should have included a sex scene
btw, it sparked my suit at the end. cgi lesbians ftw.
This was seriously the most insane thing I've seen since the movie Equilibrium.
I wonder if they can do Hare Hare Yukai as well..

Also, cg chix.
I can always get behind two hot chicks with guns.
Man, this is already pretty awesome. If only there was a little more polish, this would have been the greatest fanfilm EVER.
Still awesome. :)
