Halo Wars 'Historic Battles' DLC hits Xbox LIVE photo

Now wouldn’t be a bad time to stick your Halo Wars disc in the console tray. This morning the latest batch of downloadable content “Historic Battles” -- created by Robot Entertainment -- went live on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Get pumped.

The DLC adds four Skirmish and multiplayer maps: Barrens, Blood River, Glacial Ravine, and Memorial Basin. Each map represents a “key turning point” in the war between the UNSC and Covenant. We’re not sure of the exact meaning behind each map (only nerds read), but you can check this announcement post for helpful blurbs if your purchasing decision hinges on it. (The price of the maps is 800 Microsoft Banana Dollars.)

So, what’s up Halo Wars players? Ready to rock this?

It has the Halo logo on it. Therefore, a must buy no matter the content or price.

I feel like this should have been the original focus of Halo Wars; but on a personal level I've always been more interested in the historical events that occurred in the Halo universe than the Halo (1,2,3) storyline itself.

Am I the only one who wants a playable map of the Halo 3 diorama from the "Believe" ads? That was an exquisite set piece, and I was disappointed it never made it into Halo 3 or Halo Wars.

@Valthonis
Yea, that would be great if you can play the masp from the Halo 3 dioramas.

@Cadtalfryn
Are you serious?

That's the way your average Halo fan's mind works, like it or not.

They are bleeding this series dry. It hasn't had a chance to breathe. Personally I haven't played one since Halo 2, aside from multiplayer with the few people I know that have 360s. If you eat your favourite meal everyday...sooner or later you're going to get tired of it.

I just finished the campaign last week, and even I am not interested in this.

"They are bleeding this series dry. It hasn't had a chance to breathe."

Yea, 3 games, several years apart from each other and one RTS game developed by a different company.

OH MY GOD THEY ARE BLEEDING IT DRY, STOP YOU ASSHOLES, MORE HALO GAMES? GRRRRRRRRRRRR

This is a really stupid thing to say, there's tons of other series that have been bled dry much faster and seeing as you've only played Halo 2 you have no idea what you're talking about.

"If you eat your favourite meal everyday...sooner or later you're going to get tired of it."

Stupid analogy is stupid.

The numerous fans of it will never tire of Halo and Bungie or MS won't let the franchise be bleed dry like CoD has been for example.

@LOL FONDU

LOL CUZ PEOPLE WHO PLAY HALO ARE DUMB FRAT BOYS.

The books are more interesting than that but it has no pictures in it so it might be to much for you, its lots and lots of words, big words to, you might need to ask your mommy to explain some of them to you.
