Tor Books has announced the latest chapter in the Halo novel series called The Thursday War. The new book picks up right from the end of Halo: Glasslands and continues the "Kilo-Five Trilogy, penned by Karen Traviss.

The Thursday War tells the tale of life after the Covenant-Human war, where humans and Sangheili (Elites) are fighting against each other still, and even amongst themselves. The story will set up "the events and circumstances that will come to define the state of the Halo universe in Halo 4," according to 343's Frank O'Connor.

Halo: The Thursday War will be out on October 2 in hardcover and audio editions. I'm just now finally diving into Halo: Glasslands and love where Karen is taking us in the Halo-verse. Definitely looking forward to The Thursday War.
