In advance of the game’s Spike Video Game Awards show reveal, developer Bungie has yanked off the tarp that covered the improved official Halo: Reach Web site. As noted in the introductory post, the site is skeletal at the moment consisting of a few scraps of general information in the Mission Briefing Section.
“Since you’ve got some time to kill between [the time the trailer airs] and now, we figured we’d deploy the updated and more official Halo: Reach project page so you can get familiar with the one stop shop for all things Reach-related,” the post reads.
We’ve little doubt that Bungie won’t deliver some fresh goodies after the Spike reveal, but the post makes it plain that more information is scheduled to arrive “in 2010.” C’mon January. Happen.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
*I hesitate simply because the previous Halo games have done a rather bad job of integrating the expanded universe into everything
It is the best part of the Halo canon after all.
I'm pretty eager to see what Bungie does with this new Halo. I have a feeling that if this is going to be their swan song with the IP, they're going to want to go out with a bang.
you would think that Reach being their last Halo game they'd really want to give their best effort to make this the best in the series. I wouldn't discount this one yet, it really might be the best Halo games since the first one (No offense to ODST, but no Halo game has lived up to the quality of the first). I can't wait for the VGAs to finally see this game in action. Bungie better make this the best game in the whole series.
I have ot be honest, but I dont know all that much about Reach except its a big part of Halo lore. Should I bother with the books or just wait for this?
