Earlier this morning, we talked about how Halo: Reach may be coming in three flavors, and we just thought you'd like to know that Microsoft has officially confirmed it. In addition, we now know exactly what to expect with the "Legendary" alternative, a $150 package that may be the most opulent special edition ever.
As well as the normal version, there will be a $79.99 Special Edition with "ONI Black Box" packaging. It includes unique in-game Elite armor and an "artifact bag" containing Halo-themed documents for your reading pleasure. $150 will get you the "Legendary" set in UNSC packaging. It has everything from the Special Edition, and adds a numbered statue of Noble Team (courtesy of McFarlane Toys), and a flaming helmet for your in-game Spartan Armor.
Basically, it's pure Halo decadence. What do you reckon? Worth your $150?

It'll sell, but I paid far less for my AC2 Black Edition (Which I didn't even want. Stupid internet impulse buys).
Even if it doesn't have NVG's.
Full disclosure: This collection of Girl Repellent tugs at my inner nerd heartstrings... The statue looks admittedly cool and all the little in-game and physical extras might as well be crack... But since I'm no longer a student and am approaching 30, does anyone in my situation need this stuff?
It is a sad, sad day when you just buy the regular edition of a game and spend that saved $15 - 90 (jesus, microsoft! 90?!) for trivial bullshit like groceries and bills.
