Halo: ODST is a new Halo experience. You play as an Orbital trooper, a human who hasn’t been injected with the special sauce that Master Chief has. You’re weaker, less combat adept and without an AI. You’ll have to fight the Covenant differently. That spin on combat is what makes ODST a special bit of campaign content. But that’s not exactly all the expansion offers. Bungie is crafting quite the story. Below the fold is the first video documentary for Halo: ODST, featuring details about the crew the rookie is rolling with and what exactly is going on in New Mombasa.
While viewing, you’ll also be able to glimpse a few of the other less fantastic approaches the ODST’s are forced to use against the Covenant. You’ll be introduced to the whispering weapons of ODST, as well as the enhanced HUD components -- night-vision, targeting, and an uplink to a New Mombasa map. Stealth is a priority.
It’s cliché, but we’ll say it anyway: ODST is shaping up to be a great title. The only thing it needs -- and may already have -- is the birthday party skull. Watching heads explode in a spray of confetti with night-vision on? Priceless.
Also, it channels a lot of "Star Wars: Republic Commando."
The characters remind me of Sev, Fixer, and Scorch, as well as the player controlled "Boss."
Oh no! Does this mean mysterious black dude (http://i314.photobucket.com/albums/ll416/KAsevenfive/Motivationals/REMEMBAHmotivational.jpg) has an identity...?!
Just in case no one noticed, Adam "Jayne" Baldwin and Alan "Wash" Tudyk quite clearly play the other two honkies in the squad. This is as close to a Firefly game as we'll ever get. I especially love how Sgt. Buck actually looks like Nathan Fillion. I hope they modeled Adam's and Alan's characters after them, too.
I'd shoot what Nathan Fillion told me to shoot. And Adam Baldwin is Dutch? Double browncoat score! Supoosedly, Mickey is Alan Tudyk, but imdb doesn't have that one confirmed yet. Granted, they also list Tricia Helfer as "rumored," besides Tudyk, so who knows?
Man the video looks pretty good, but that screenshot is TERRIBLE. Game sounds awesome though, I really like the more open-world idea with a central hub.
@nekobun
Those are 110% Tudyk's and Baldwin's voices. I can tell just by listening to them, without question. (This is made even more likely by the fact that they, along with Fillion, did Marine voices in Halo 3.)

IT'S TIME TO DANCE
That, in and of itself, would have guaranteed 10,000,000+ hits.
And yesa, the boss guy is captain Mal.
I just have a problem with one of them holding and firing a turret as easily as Master Chief.
Chief has tons of biological and cybernetic enhancements, in addition to his armor. Regular humans shouldn't be able to lift as much as he can.
This just went from a "when it becomes cheap" to a "day one" buy.
He's even MODELED after him. :o

This is an insta-Buy for me.
