Today, Microsoft shared what the Limited Edition of Halo 4 will entail, and I know what you're thinking. "That looks pretty standard," or something to that effect. Right? Well, if every special edition looked like this or this, they wouldn't be so special. And, more importantly, most of us have a finite amount of storage space.
The $99.99 LE includes nine additional maps for War Games, the competitive multiplayer component of Halo 4. These will be distributed in three-map packs as post-launch DLC. Purchasers will also get early access to six Specializations (i.e., more customization) at launch.
There's then the obligatory unique armor and weapon skin, some Xbox Live Avatar stuff, and an extended 90-minute version of the live-action Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. When you factor in the eventual cost of those map packs, the price doesn't seem too steep at all.
