Halo 3 street date broken, absolutely no one shocked photo

It looks like the inevitable has, um ... inevitably come to pass.

Nick Millen sent in a tip a few moments ago revealing that UK retailer Argos has begun selling copies of the über-anticipated Halo 3 a full week before they were supposed to hit High Street. Taking a few moments off from the enviable task of being one of the first people on the planet to play the gold copy of Halo 3, Nick sent in the above picture to prove his new acquistion.

Of course, Microsoft can't be too pleased about this situation so we're assuming it's only a matter of minutes before a team of Daleks arrive at his home hellbent on vaporizing his guts, hair and any other part of him even remotely recognizable as belonging to a human. Tom Baker, wherefore art thou?

[Thanks Nick, and seriously we all hate you right now.]

[UPDATE: I covered the last 4 digits of his credit card that were still exposed to stop you larcenous, jealousy-fuelled kiddies from trying to swipe his life savings so you could ransom it all for a video game. That's my good deed for the week. From here on out, it's pure evil, 24/7. -- Nex]

Does anyone else think that he looks like a hostage for the Taliban? Holding the receipt in his mouth as a proof of the date? They should just go ahead and lop off his head off with a PVC saw. We have teh Haloz, if you want to ever see your plump little boy again you must release all hostages from Abu Gharib, and pull your forces out of the US!!!

And now Microsoft are planning to ban the Live account of anyone who plays it online ahead of the release date.

That tells you everything you need to know about MS really. They screw up by allowing the units to be released a week early instead of making it a 'just-in-time' delivery or putting in place massive penalty clauses for retailers, and then the gamer has to pay for it by having their account banned!

"They screw up by allowing the units to be released a week early instead of making it a 'just-in-time' delivery"

It takes a while to get 2 million copies of a game around the world. teh Haloz has been complete for a bit now, they had a couple weeks to ship it everywhere. Its really the stores fault for breaking the release date. MS is just trying to level the playing field by banning anyone who goes on live. Besides, who is he going to play against? The one kid from Norway who got a copy?

They cant really ban you..

1. you cant play online as the server is not up.
2. the achievement list is not even there..(im on the 3rd chapter with no achievements unlocked..)
3. not my fault the store sold the game early..

@The Dude, with a pre-order of over 1.5 million orders you can't just send everyone the shipment at the same time and time it to with in one day...get real. SONY only wishes they had any game ever on any SONY console did this good. Also to NJackson---yes MS can ban you and they will even if you don't play online or even if you disconnect from the internet connection completely once you log in after the official launch day you will still be banned because of the systems history will list when you originally started playing the game. Please don't be dumb and say it's the stores fault so blame them, nope..? Blame your self for knowing that you shouldn't have it and you still bought it anyways. So the only reason anyone would want the game early is to not have to stand in line on launch day. If you've played it already I;m sorry because your doomed already. Since when an account is banned your IP (from internet provider) is blocked and your XBOX 360 serial number is blocked as well. I know since my friend was banned for (*******) reasons and he tried to bring it to my house to connect and it would not log in no matter what. Peace

@ZMTToxics and jorgiex

There's a big difference between Njackson and the guy that got banned till 9999, the banned guy got access to a non-public build by illegal means (glitching) Njackson BOUGHT the copy, but yeah, in the end MS CAN ban him, it's in the contract ;)

Wherefore actually means why, not where. Juliet's not asking Romeo where he is (he's right there under the balcony), she's asking why he's a Montague. The whole rose/name/smell thing comes from that. So, you'd be asking Dr. Who why he is, not where he is. Anyway, I'm a jerk and the guy who has halo right now instead of me is one, too. I pulled a nerd muscle.

I guess NJackson has nothing to worry about anyways since now Microsoft has changed the policy to customers and is only targeted to Microsoft employees. Here's the link: http://www.pro-g.co.uk/news/19-09-2007-6492-1.html

The receipt is in his mouth because the one hand holds the game and the other hand holds the camera to take the picture.
