It looks like the inevitable has, um ... inevitably come to pass.
Nick Millen sent in a tip a few moments ago revealing that UK retailer Argos has begun selling copies of the über-anticipated Halo 3 a full week before they were supposed to hit High Street. Taking a few moments off from the enviable task of being one of the first people on the planet to play the gold copy of Halo 3, Nick sent in the above picture to prove his new acquistion.
Of course, Microsoft can't be too pleased about this situation so we're assuming it's only a matter of minutes before a team of Daleks arrive at his home hellbent on vaporizing his guts, hair and any other part of him even remotely recognizable as belonging to a human. Tom Baker, wherefore art thou?
[Thanks Nick, and seriously we all hate you right now.]
[UPDATE: I covered the last 4 digits of his credit card that were still exposed to stop you larcenous, jealousy-fuelled kiddies from trying to swipe his life savings so you could ransom it all for a video game. That's my good deed for the week. From here on out, it's pure evil, 24/7. -- Nex]
No I can't, I'm a liar. I hate that guy.
Quick, someone see if his card number is on the receipt!
Nick Millen for let me borrow your CC#!
Nice Lad he is!
Halo 2 is like the bestest game evarz! Why didnt anyone tell me they were making a sequel? And to keep it a secret until this close to launch. Those doods at Bungie are amazing!!! I wonder if they will port it to the PS3 so i can play it when im done mastering the speedrun of Lair, my favoritest game of all times! This is totally why i read the internets!
Me: "OmGz!1! Teh Hal0z iz outzz? CaN i Has?"
To which reality replied, "No, you can not."
I am ashamed to even know halo fans :p.
That tells you everything you need to know about MS really. They screw up by allowing the units to be released a week early instead of making it a 'just-in-time' delivery or putting in place massive penalty clauses for retailers, and then the gamer has to pay for it by having their account banned!
It takes a while to get 2 million copies of a game around the world. teh Haloz has been complete for a bit now, they had a couple weeks to ship it everywhere. Its really the stores fault for breaking the release date. MS is just trying to level the playing field by banning anyone who goes on live. Besides, who is he going to play against? The one kid from Norway who got a copy?
1. you cant play online as the server is not up.
2. the achievement list is not even there..(im on the 3rd chapter with no achievements unlocked..)
3. not my fault the store sold the game early..
Mwahahaa
Again this was aimed @ DolphGB the sony fanboy.
Where does he live?
There's a big difference between Njackson and the guy that got banned till 9999, the banned guy got access to a non-public build by illegal means (glitching) Njackson BOUGHT the copy, but yeah, in the end MS CAN ban him, it's in the contract ;)
I'm working the Halos3 launch, I will have more than my fils of it by 2am, I'm sure, especially when I have to work at 7:30am ugh.
Booya!! I'll get back to finishing the game off!!
The receipt is in his mouth because the one hand holds the game and the other hand holds the camera to take the picture.
