Happy holidays, Nintendo fans. Just in time for ... a few days after Halloween, (why do they do that?) GameStop is offering up some Christmas merchandise to celebrate the release of Super Mario Galaxy.
Shipping November 7th are two Christmas stockings at $14.99 each; and for $9.99, a ball ornament which is sure to be the source of countless "UR MR GAY" jokes for many holidays to come. Come to think of it, there are probably lots of dirty things you could say about Mr. Gay stuffing your stocking, too, but let's just leave it at the one thing about balls for now. It's still early in the day.

Because people BUY them. Simple as that. If they didn't sell, they wouldn't be sold so early. So consumers are as much to blame for making the demand for Christmas supplies early.
Someone needs to buy me one of these.
I agree with you, yet I still want that ornament.
Also, depending on where you look, Christmas stuff shows up as early as September. It's awful.
It is just a logical progression, in my opinion.
