That Gordon Freeman statue looks like Ben Affleck.
if you dont own this game already, you can't call yourself a gamer.
well I'll be damned, it does bare striking resemblance!
In fact...where are his glasses?
And that girl's mug bears a striking resemblance to Ron Perlman!
It's the 00s.
He doesn't wear glasses anymore. He wears super-advanced nanomachine-powered contact glasses. He also shorted his name from Gordon to Gor because it's so edgy!!!!! Either that or the glasses fell off. Whatever!
I just got it. Its installing now. :)
If I didn't have my original install key from back before Steam, I'd buy it
My brother bought me this for PC form my birf day a while back, else I would eat this .98 cents up like it was .50 cents.
Wii's birthday too, 2 years. :O
I would buy that for $1. Do it people. You will not be disappointed.
Bought.
@ Edarios
Good. Most gamers are stupid, obnoxious, they don't shower, and they lack social lives.
I bought it and bought a copy for each of my (IRL) friends.
Ahh, such a good thing, Steam.
These deals get me all the time.
And done.
didnt they redo this using the HL2 engine? if so, is this the original or the redone version?
@vexed
Those are just the "hard (gears of halo - resistance) core" console crowd. Oh, and MMO gamers.
That picture is amazing. And it's really sad to admit this, but Ben Affleck would actually make a really good-looking Gordon Freeman. In fact, he might even be able to portray him well, I'm ashamed to say. But after Daredevil, do I really want to risk it?
Well, I don't like FPSing on PCs, but it's criminal not to buy a brilliant, legendary game like this when it's only a dollar.
Hmm, for a buck, I might just grab it.
Aren't there tons of mods for this thing?
Fuck it, I'm getting it anyway.
Happy Birthday Glasses-less Gordon! I'm playing through Half Life: Source. So amazing.
@ Shirley Temple
No, it's pretty much the Final Fantasy cosplay crowd that stinks up the place. I've heard enough PAX and E3 horror stories, thank you.
Gears of War/CoD4/Halo fans are (mostly) too douchy to not shower. They need to smell good. Stink wouldn't match their Hollister shirts.
This is totally worth it just for the endless amounts of quality mods for it. If I hadn't owned half-life since it came out I would jump on this.

Holy shit... what have I done...
Worth paying $1 just to not spend an hour searching for the CD I bought 10 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long.
Kyousuke Nanbu: BIGGEST FAGGOT IN HISTORY!?
Everyone should go buy this right now, like RIGHT NOW BEFORE FINISHING READING.
You just bought Half-life so you could play Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut. Enjoy. :D

I'd totally buy this for a dollar if I hadn't bought it ages ago.
And now I kind of feel a little bad about buying the anthology last month.
A little.
What are some good, free mods?
Ohshit, they actually finished Afraid of Monsters? I played that years ago when it was a techdemo/beta thing. Must check that out.
Happy Bday HL!
I went on Steam, I bought this game. I win! :D
Happy Birthday HL!! Now let's talk about when you are going to give birth to Episode 3?
amazing =3 I bought it rather than looking for my old CD
oh and
@RonBurgandy2010--> Natural Selection is quite possibly one of the best mods EVER =D download it at

Ooh, I have the Source remake, but not the original-original.
Getting the PC and PS2 versions in one day? I'm fine with this.
Opposing Force, the military expansion for Half-Life, is one of the most impressive expansions for any game. The plot development that occurs in the expansion is almost required for anyone who played the game itself all the way through. The ending, in particular, actually surpasses the ending of the original (which many people would argue is not hard to do, given their hatred for the third act, but still).
that's really cool!
Silent Hill turns ten next February too don't forget
Since I've owned the original game since 1998, I would rather spend a dollar for a "Gay for Gordon" bumper sticker
^_^
Man, I loved this game. Back when it was on a 3 1/2" floppy. And called Doom.
Valve's always made quality products that are highly polished, but I've never really had *fun* with anything of theirs except Portal and Episode 2 up until the end.
In any case, happy birthday to a gaming icon.
