Sometimes, I think I'm like the dude from Rain Man. I see stuff and it just clicks. So what do you think? Alyx from HL2 and Jade from Beyond Good and Evil look pretty alike to me. If Alyx wasn't so busy killing Combine, she could put on some make up and green lipstick and they'd be dead ringers for twins. Or maybe Jade somehow managed to convince Valve to let her star in Half Life 2?
Both ladies are fighting for what they believe in. They both share the same hair style. And they are both strong females who are good at kicking some ass. Too much of a coincendence if you ask me :).
That's not the only thing Half Life has a similarity with. Jump on in to see some real life comparissons to the Half Life universe!

Look out! It's a Strider!! Naw, just kidding. But it might as well be. This Tripod was spotted on
Kotaku a few days ago. The sculpture was made by the Weta Workshop (They are working on the Halo movie and they have also worked on Lord of the Rings and numerous other projects) to commemorate the Kiwi film industry. Take a closer look at the Tripod via this
thread to see how Nintendo is involved with the statue.

Finally, we have the real world Citadel. Well, not yet, but soon we will. A
team of architects are working on expermental designs over in China and one of them looks remarkable like the dreaded Citadel from City 17. Thanks to Niero for the forward from Jake for the link!
Hopefully the next thing we see infiltrating our world from the Half Life world will be a gravity gun. Or hell, I wouldn't mind having a robot like Dog as a pet :D.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
