Hail the freak: 36 WoW accounts, played simultaneously. By a freak photo

I submit evidence of one man, which I am going to use to paint all World of Warcraft players as subhuman scumworms who deserve to be shot. This creature owns 36 WoW accounts, plays them at the same time on 11 computers, and goes on solo raids. He can't even make friends in a videogame.

The WoW nutbag goes by the name of Bradster, leading me to believe it is our very own Brad Nicholson. The 36 accounts costs him $5711 in subscription fees: "Not bad considering I’m looking at it like it’s a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft."

Yeah, there are also worse crimes than raping a woman, but I'm not going to do that either.

Bradster also has designs on 36 copies of Wrath of the Lich King, which will run him to another $1500. He has chosen to do this simply because he wants to invade Stormwind and Ironforge. By himself.

I fully believe that when the atomic bomb drops, it is not cockroaches that will survive, but World of Warcraft players, all of them angry that the loud noise put 'em off their looting. Freaks.

Cube is the kind of guy who gets upset at people on the Internet because his penis fell off in a train accident.

See, I can play armchair psychologist and talk bullshit as well!

This reminds me of the game Armour Geddon, where you had to pilot more than one plane/helicopter/tank/hovercraft at a time. I could actually get four vehicles going at once, though you could pilot 8 by yourself if you had superhuman powers. And, no, you could not group into formations or tell the autopilot to move to a destination. Each aircraft had to be piloted in realtime or set on autopilot as you switched to the next one (and on autopilot, the aircraft would fly in a circle, not straight). Oh yeah, and the enemy vehicles would start shooting at you within 30 seconds of leaving your base. That game was truly insane, and boy, was it ever an achievement when I beat it.

I know nothing about WoW, but for some reason, controlling 32 characters at once doesn't seem all THAT hard to me.

Oh yeah... I want a new Armour Geddon.

So he's a one man gold farm...

Jesus, that just makes it worse.

Somehow I don't think a gold farmer would so blatantly advertise himself like that. Are you just assuming that's what he's doing, Cube, or has he actually admitted this? Either way, it doesn't make him any more noble, it actually makes him more sleazy.

So whatever, son.

I was going to just walk away until I saw my name flashed on by like 6 people for my worthless statement.

Gold farmers are special bunch, they love to talk to you in game about what the fuck there doing.

though 36 on one person is a record I have seen most only use like 6 per person and work in teams and sshare the accounts, bind them all to credit cards with other names and they have a full gold selling business.

They fully expect to get caught and one or more of there accounts to get shutdown at somepoint.

So all the Gold sellers of the MMO wouldnt have a web site you can find in damn google for blizzard to find, if they cared about being seen. One That blizzard TOS mongers can find. (oh and they even have paid ads)

and no he don't say he is, and they don't say much about him and if he was advertzing hime self or not blizzard can find him either way if he ws on the internet talking or not. all the conenctions would be coming from the same IP to the wow server unless he is doing something to hide that.

All he says is his name is "bradster" and gold sellers are always traffic around credit cards and shuffling after there accounts get banned.

those screen shots of his chars are hard to even see who they are there to low res to get any info out of it, you cant see anything from his screens.

I think he is prett damn safe from blzzard eyes even if he does show of his system.

Hell if I was selling gold I will make up a story about the way I am doing it and call It a "HOBBY" and blatantly advertise there is not a damn thing blizzard could do about it from the amount info he provides. Billzard will just have to go around all the other gobs of gols sellers doing the exact same thing, it's not that much attention.

I used to watch and talk to gold sellers hanging around the rares in final fantsy 11 and everquest all the time they do the exact same thing.

So as for Raids are where all the good crap to sell comes from, he is giving himself 100% chance to get all the items everytime.

He might even be running or working for another gold seller group it is not uncommon the gold selling market is huge.

as this interview with a real gold seller shows how they think.

Gee I don't know sounds like everything this guy is doing to me.

So if he is giving a listen This WOW guy can invite me into his bizz I will take 12 of his chars for like 20% of his income he is getting from this little racket he has going.

If this guys is making this into a business then more power to him. If he just runs around with 36 characters to just invade stormwind then he needs to be shot so he doesn't contaminate the gene pool.

If anyone actually wants to read a book about Gold/item farming, "Play Money" by Julian Dibbell. IIRC, one of the item/gold farmers profiled was pulling doing 50-60k a year.

I can't knock the dude for spending that much coin on one game. I must have dropped at least that much in games over the last year and then at least 5-6k in triathlon crap (bikes, wheels, fees, etc). Whatever floats your boat.

subhuman scumworm or not, it takes great skills (of dubious utility, but skills nonetheless) to pull that off.

Besides the subscription fees, I want to see how much he pays for electricity, because if you're the kind of dude to play 36 accounts at the same time, you're the kind of dude to play 36 hours non-stop (taking 1 hour breaks to crap/eat at the same time)

C'mon guys. If Jim didn't give the guy a bit of stick this otherwise bland article wouldn't be so entertaining.

Aside from that. A guy like this may not be harming anybody (maybe his loved-ones?) by doing this but what about who he isn't helping? If he really is greatly talented at multitasking he might be able to use his time to do some good for the world.
