HADOUKEN! Nothing but gameplay footage from Street Fighter IV

Most of you may have already seen the footage from Street Fighter IV from Topher's earlier post today. In case you missed it though (or are still waiting for the video to buffer ... ), here are clips from GameVideos with just the gameplay footage. Ryu and Ken both perform their signature moves such as Hadouken and Shoryuken (among others) in these two videos.

I wasn't all too trilled with the direction the series was taking when we first saw images of the game. After seeing the game in motion, however, I'm starting to like it. Of course, actually getting my hands on the game will help me determine if IV is truly a worthy successor. I also have to agree with Topher and say that the game is looking very fast, which is a good thing. I really loving the real time facial reactions the fighters will now have too. It's a small thing, sure, but I love when games are given these life like extra details.

Shoryuken the jump for the other gameplay video. Now, about that penis ...

I just searched Youtube for Street Fighter IV and near the bottom of the first results page are the new vids. I think the press team forgot to add the letters EX before the IV.

Well, the first one loaded and I was able to watch it just fine, but the second one looks like it’s gonna take at least ten minutes to load, and I have a poker game to get to. But I gotta say, I was impressed by what I saw...

It looks alright for a work in progress. The animation looks a bit stiff, especially in the Hurricane Kicks. I'm still so-so when it comes to SF in 3D (EX2 was not as bad as people say it is). But I will try to keep an open mind.

I would have avoided close-ups of Ryu's crazy eyes until they were fixed, though.

Still not loading from gamevideos.com.

Check out the version I posted at Youtube.

It's not all the SFIV footage, but at least it loads.

Thanks for those, Orionsaint. First time I've seen the videos. It sounds a lot more complicated than the ol' SFII (which is the last entry in the series that I really played).

Damn. That looked sick, in a good way. I'm actually pretty psyched for this game now. Never thought I'd be saying that about a 3-D Street Fighter...

I was kind of weirded out when they were dropping the parry system, but the new revenge system that focuses on offensive play and with meters that charge for both offense and defense (and the defense/revenge meter allowing for more offense) well, it sounds pretty good.

Also, new female street fighters. Awesome.

Just change the way Ryu's face looks and this game would look so much better. Make him look less shit and more Jap like he's supposed to be. Fucking Capcom.

I liked the gameplay but the graphics are somewhat dissapointing, that Ruy should look more like Ryu, not like a generic fighter with Ryu clothes.

The gameplay itself looks good, but the graphics still look off.

@ Topher

I think the ink/smoke is just transitions supplied by Capcom or 1UP, not actually part of the game.

Nice animation which has a solidity and weight to it which is normally lacking in 3D fighters.

Hope the detalied backgrounds aren't just eye candy.

Apparently Gears of War has ushered in a new era of video gaming where gravity rules supreme and all characters must resemble poor, overweight, Puerto-Rican bread vendors. God loves progress.

YEEESSSS! Looks like a lot of fun, love the look. If it was too fancy/next-gen it wouldn't resemble Street Fighter. By the look of that video I think they nailed it, can't wait.
