How dare we post the latest Kingdom Hearts news without posting the latest trailer! We are complete failures at journalism!
The above eight-minute behemoth was first shown during the recent Jump Festa in Japan. In addition to Square Enix's trademark "portable game trailers get stupid, distracting borders" video style, you get to see a lot of new worlds for the upcoming Dream Drop Distance. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Three Musketeers, Tron: Legacy, and Pinocchio all get represented, and the entire main cast of The World Ends With You even pop in to share a few words with our heroes Sora and Riku. It also seems like there is some kind of animal-raising minigame this time around.
Oh, and don't forget the requisite instrumental of "Hikari"! Seriously, they need to come up with a new theme song.

Square Needs to stop fucking around with this series and these crappy portable titls no one cares about (Birth by Sleep excluded) and just make KH3 already. I mean 2 came out 7 fucking years ago (March 05)
This game is going to be one of the best in the series, with the best combat mechanic, and some of the best CG cutscenes to date. This game will not only move the main plot forward, but also integrate more storyline into each Disney world. This game's storyline will just as important, if not more important, than BBS, and your apathetic dismissal of a great upcoming KH game is beyond maddening. I, for one, am greatly excited for yet another amazing, IMPORTANT KH game.
while I am glad that a nintendo system is finally getting a kingdom hearts game that actually adds something to canon instead of just being a pointless money grab, don't you think it's a little early to be declaring that the gameplay and plot will outclass BBS?
If you read any sort of impressions of demoes and gameplay, journalists/people in general all acclaim 3D's gameplay as one of the best in the series, if not THE best. And that's before any full-on Preview or Review.
The quality of the entire plot will definitely be up in the air, but its revelations and goals that point toward KH3 will be just as important, if not even more important than BBS, for KH3.
I wonder if the TWEWY crowd is going to have a story significance given their prominence in the trailer. It so far looks to be like re:Coded in terms of gameplay, just with fewer(?) minigames. Huh.
So who wants to bet this will be the first $50 3DS game without any pack-in things or whatever?
I hate that I am missing the Birth by Sleep chunk of the story because I never had a PSP. YOUTUBE TIEM... p.s. I hope people realize how awesome Joshua and Neku really are
Kingdom Hearts is, easily, one of my favorite game series of all time. I enjoy the worlds, characters and (confusing) story. Also, the Simple and Clean orchestrated theme? Love it.
This one takes place after KH II, correct? Hopefully the next one will be KH III.

Fuck square. They should have kept Kingdom Hearts on the Playstation instead of spreading it across every single portable known to man. Right now, If I wanted to get the full story, I'd have to buy a GBA, a DS a PSP and a 3DS. Talk about taking a piss on your fanbase.

Unfinished models of Woody and Buzz (as well as a unfinished world based on the jungle book) were found in kingdom hearts BBS. Who knows, at one point they must have been considering it :D

Toy Story won't ever happen, probably. I forget where I read it, but Pixar stuff is intentionally left out. Unless I missed something.
If they do create a new theme song for the series it's not going to be by Utada Hikaru. Apparently she's against doing it.
