Guitar Hero On Tour Decades screenshots for uh, decades

Without much fanfare, Nintendo went ahead and announced Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades at their E3 2008 press conference. Later Activision confirmed it, simply saying -- more or less -- "Yup, it's a follow up to Guitar Hero: On Tour for the DS."

Now we have some new screens, and from what we can tell, it's going to be Guitar Hero: On Tour with some new songs. Tracks confirmed so far:

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Can't Stop"
  • Paramore - "crushcrushcrush"
  • All-American Rejects - "Dirty Little Secret"
  • The Darkness - "I Believe in a Thing Called Love"
  • Jimmy Eat World - "The Middle"
  • Linkin Park - "One Step Closer"
  • Foo Fighters - "The Pretender"
  • Seether - "Remedy"
  • Smashing Pumpkins - "Tarantula"
  • Fall Out Boy - "The Take Over, The Break's Over"

Users of the original On Tour will be able to share songs with those that have the Decades cart as well, though we're not entirely sure how that'll work. Our first guess is usually black magic, but that was wrong when we guessed it would be used to facilitate Xbox/Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades will be available this fall and your fingers will fall off trying to play it.

Geez, there's way better Paramore songs than crushcrushcrush, why do both franchises keep picking that one??

Why is it called decades? Most of those songs are from the last few years.

And once again GH plays catch up while RB plays DLC Palooza 4: All Your Wallets Are Belong To Us.

Every single one of those songs are horrible, do not match the title of the game, and Guitar Hero on the DS is just BAD.

Just let it die, Neversoft.

@SourGr8pes

It's a really fun song to play. I don't know how much fun it is in music games but it's a great on a real guitar.

Fuck, I wanted Tarantula on a real GH game. Now I'm gonna havta wait and see if it gets on Rockband.

Wow. From a sales point that is a better setlist than the real GH games. But from a taste point of view they really all blow, especially the darkness.

Anyone notice that RB story about the 6 albums just up and disappeared?

Just throwing this out here a bit late... it's called Decades because each tier covers a decade; those songs are just from the two most chronologically recent tiers.

Also... I like The Pretender.

well at the top it did say these are just the songs confirmed at the moment and theyre not really gonna put old ones on otherwise it would put most people off as they wouldnt kno those songs thus wudnt buy the game.
However I like the songs listed I agree there are better paramore songs like misery business as the guitar in that is way better but hey
it gna be a good guitar hero game especially with the streaming capability (y)
