It's hard to write this with my fingers shaking in anticipation, but the details for
Guitar Hero II for the
Xbox 360 are about to explode all over your keyboard.
Team Xbox spills all of the details, including the aforementioned songs that will be exclusive to the
Xbox 360 version of the game. "Billion Dollar Babies" by Alice Cooper; "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance; "Hush" as made famous by Deep Purple; "Life Wasted" as made famous by Pearl Jam; and "Rock N' Roll
Hoochie Koo" as made famous by Rick Derringer, are all among the exclusive tracks. The Alice Cooper and My Chemical Romance will be master tracks, meaning you're going to be playing along with the original recordings (as with "John the Fisherman" and "Stop" in the original version of
Guitar Hero II).
The other three of the 10 exclusive tracks are said to be "Possum Kingdom" (Toadies), "Salvation" (Rancid), and "The Trooper" (Iron Maiden). The remaining tracks will be
unlockable through
gameplay, and this is all in addition to the promised
downloadable content. Did I mention that even more content will be available for download on day one? Oh, hell yeah!
There will unfortunately be no online play, but weekly and monthly
leaderboards will be available, so wannabe Eddie Van
Halens can compete against other virtual Michael Angelo Batios worldwide.
A full press release is expected tomorrow with even more details on the March release of
Guitar Hero II. I'm feeling lightheaded.
I will be pissed if they release any new content other than what was mentioned (those tracks I can live without). and who needs online play? there's always someone who wants to play around. the real issue is buying two, expensive guitars. which is absolutely worth it
sorry for the spam but come even digg has comment editing.
I think it's "John the fisherman" instead of "Jerry was a race car driver".
well anyway.. this makes me really want a 360, even though i have both GH1 and GH2 for ps2.. i just really want to play hush by deep purple. Im guitar hero fanatic basically.. and I willspare only the highest of expenses to play a new song. oh well.
"The Trooper" by Iron Maiden?!
Amazing. I'm sold.
