What makes the wiimote joke so much better is the fact that Bridget (i.e. that chick) is really a guy...
IT'S A TRAP! IT'S A DUDE!
eveyone is gay for bridget XD
is this comeing to the U.S?
I'll only play this if Jam still has the annoying as hell voice. I've beaten people by spamming here yell with the voice volume all the way up. hehehe
/me prays to see this released on a proper console.
I figured everyone was joking about that being a guy until I consulted Wiki...
yes bitch yes
Yes, yes. It is disturbing and hilarious that the phrase "Bridget made me gay" will continue to propagate until the end of time.
hahaha... im so gay for bridget. and furry for uh.. francine? whats that cat things name?
I am waiting until Arc System Works makes a respone to the Super Turbo HD on 360/PS3...it may just have been the catalyst for the ressurection of 2D fighters :)
That nun chick is hawt.
Proper controls for a Guilty Gear game (or ANY competetive fighting game) using the Wii-mote CANNOT be done.
Plain and simple, the imprecise controls are too much of a limitation for serious competition.
Use of the classic controller could be ok though, but then again, that controller was never designed with fighing games in mind either.
And what ar you talking about not being able to play 3D fighters because you're a controller guy?
Some of the best Tekken players and pretty much ALL of the best Soul Calibur players play with a pad. Guilty Gear is, in my opinion, the most precise and skilled-input-based fighter out there. If you can play THAT, you can play anything. 2D or 3D.
I don't like how slow Soul Calibur moves in the 3rd dimension. If I'm dealing with a 3rd dimension, I automatically think of using a joystick, and its hard for me to think otherwise. Just an odd mental block.
@DinnertimeNinja
Of course you can create a precise fighting game with the Wii mote, it's just that you haven't thought of how to do it. The Wii pointer is the only console controller that can cover screen space in a genuinly fast yet accurate way, what we have seen developers do with the controller so far, leads people to believe that certain things cannot be done or aren't suited to the Wii pointer.
The fact that you can cover screen space in a fast and accurate way should be the beggining of the design brief, it won't be easy, but doing somethig new never is. I would say that within a year you will see a developer creating a beat em up designed from the ground up, based on the strengths of the Wii mote.
The Wii mote is just an extension of eye/hand coordination, a step up from the traditional eye/hand interface with standard controllers, with the Wii mote it's just a case of approaching game design from a different angle, there are no types of games that cannot be done.
I don't know beans about Guilty Gear, but why is that nun dude waving a condom tethered to a wire?
eh... technically it's a yo-yo. but we can overlook that given your newness to it all.
Aw, I-No didn't make the front page? I can't wait to see if they try to implement a motion sensing control scheme.

My lady throwing down.
The *ahem* lady of the hour.
I am definitely gay for Bridget. But yeah, Guilty Gear is awesome. The series proved 2D fighting games still rock in an age of 3D bouncy breast physics.
I'm an Anji player, personally. Dammit, we need Accent Core on the PS3/360 so that we can hold dtoid tourneys.
I mainly you Ky/Robo-Ky or Jam
Duragonboru Z!
Actually no, forget Jam
It's all about
I still remember when I had a burned Guilty Gear disc on my Dreamcast. I really don't see what the big whoop is about 3d fighting games give me GG, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 or most Street Fighters any day.
CHIPP ZANUFF!
DURAGONBORU Z!
Sol Badguy is awesome, and Jam is, well, hot, quite frankly. I'm pumped this is coming out for Wii and fully expect a release on 360 as well, probably over XBLA if not on a disc.
I love me some Guilty Gear.
Now if only Capcom would get off their collective asses and make SFIV...
Fighting games on Wii just don't work.
Excitement! I was playing GG X2 Reload yesterday. It is the bee's knees!
I'll admit that I'm a Slayer/Johnny fan. Some of these characters are just too cool for their own good.
LOL I finally understood the bee's knees thang.
I vote for Faust!
Everyone here would bang Bridgett's tranny butt so hard it's gaytacular
dude s/he is so hot
well, we know everyone is gay for bridget...
But this came up a couple of months ago and was announced a few places, magic-box and some other sites...
But the was then proved to be flase, if its now come about and has become a reality i have fear in my heart.
Guilty Gear is a fighter's fighter...
The wiimote= NO
the classic controler= not that good at all
If guilty gear does come to the wii that is market research gone wrong lol...
give me a saturn pad!
First of all, Bridget IS hot, for all you bigots out there...
This game is totally the fighter's fighter and it isn't 3D so it should be D-pad action all the way. I'd say the classic controller is the best bet...I really wouldn't want to play such a long running series any other way...that would be weird.
First off, I'm not gay. But this is Bridget, and everyone is gay for Bridget, so compromises must be met, and exceptions must be made.
Second, this had damn well better come out on a real console. Good titles getting wasted on handhelds is starting to piss me off.
Not handheld, I had some kind of mental block with the control design on the Wii. I ment to say something with a real controller, like with buttons and a few joysticks. Need edit button for great justice.
Yeah he is a dude. He was borught up as a girl so that is why he is so girly.
Frankly I've never been big on fighters. All the combinations to remember makes them feel like a virtual test. Which is why I like super smash bros. so much because it simplifies it but still gives you that feeling of complexity.I did have some fun with guilty gear though. The character designs were fuckin' bitchin and it definitely had more style than most fighters. I eventually lost interest in it though like most fighting games I buy. Who knows, the switch to wii might actually make it better.
Dosen't accent core only have one new character?
well originally, it was said it'd have 2...
but in actual fact...
it has 0 lol...
its more an update, with different characte modes and the suchlike...
But one more time...
Wii.. Let us hope this is false
GGX= a fighter's fighter
Wii= not a fighter's console
This= very bad market research
I hope this is from the same story that popped up a few months back
which was later proved to be bollocks
accent core is being released for ps2 also at the end of the month. im suprised no one knew that =/. so theres your ps3 more enjoyable controller answer.
wii controller will work just as fine as its just as responsive. none of this is state side thou of course so with wii region locked then you're screwed.
real gg players play on arcade stick anyway =/
~also should be noted that ac is not supposed to be a furthering of the story for gg, nor was slash.
gg is moving more and more into the pro circuit of gaming like many fighting games in japan (elusive to the states [sans evo2k] since american gamers just want second rate competitive console games like gears of war, halo, graw2 orz ;;) and these releases are to tweak balances more than add new story and chars.
and its working well for sammy =)
