Guild Wars: Eye of the North developer chat photo

Look I drink...

And that usually means I get asked the questions. Stuff like, "Would you please let the sheep go, put your clothes back on and get down from the kids slide?" If you're like me, I am sure there are game developers out there that you would love to Q & A with. If you're into Guild Wars, it looks like your chance is here.

On Friday, May 11, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific / 7 p.m Eastern, GameSpy Arcade will be hosting a developer chat with the folks from NCSoft and ArenaNet about the upcoming Guild Wars expansion pack; Guild Wars: Eye of the North. The chat will take place in the Livewire lobby of the GameSpy Arcade. This is your chance to meet, greet and get insider information from the developers of Guild Wars."

Check it out so your crackling power-leveling mousy voice can finally be heard.

[Thanks Lila]

I never know whether to point out grammatical foibles in blog posts. On the one hand, I think the blogger would like to have the article correct, on the other, pointing out a simple typo or brainfart is pretty pedantic. In any case, "If your like me" should be "If you're like me".

One thing though, power-levelling isn't really something that happens in guild wars. The level cap is 20, and that's easily doable in less than a week. Most of the PvE grind would be skill hunting, but that's actually done in a pretty decent way(using a signet to get skills of dead bosses, kind of like pokemans). I'm not terribly interested in eye of the north though. Guild wars is a good game, and I like a lot of the things it tries to do. For some reason though, it just feels like less than the sum of its parts.

Oh good lord. Another reader who insists on correcting when someone writes "your" and "you're". Are you the same guy who corrects me when I mess up "there", "their", and "they're" over at 1P Start?

Hey Ron! wazzup! I think it would be cool to talk with the game devs about their new game. I haven't played Guild Wars but I have heard about these games where you......FOR GODS SAKE GET YOUR GRAMMAR CORRECT !!! woah sorry (Tourette's) Developer conferences are a good way of reaching out to gamers and is simply the best thing they could do. Hey I drink too

Look, Workman is from the south.

In the south, we can say anything we want, anyway we want. Because the south is the only place where free speech really exists without someone correcting the way you speak.

:D

I don't care much for grammar, but I loves me some Guild Wars. I don't think I will bother with the chat though. I'll probably be... playing... Guild Wars... >_>

-> xBBX/electro: Can you fuckers not read? I'm always indecisive as to whether to point out those mistakes. Some bloggers seem to appreciate people doing so(for the veneer of professionalism or whathaveye). The only reason I mentioned it was because I was posting anyway. At least I said stuff actually relevant to the content of the post. In short, bite my ass r-tards!!

Besides, grammar fucking rulez, nubs.
