Also Kenta Cho, Yuji Naka, Mizaguchi, Sakurai, Igarashi, Itagaki, Ono, Kamiya, Harada, and (of course) Miyamoto!
@ SayWord;
It makes me shudder to think what happens to the partners you make love to. O_O
(Also, they are all separate games, correct?)
They have a nickname for him....Golden something....
Suda said he wants to do a game with kojima but kojima is too busy. I'm sure mikami and kamiya will find some way to work together.....And it would be cool to have ono and harada add fighting games into the guild. So one package could span a bunch more genres. I have no idea if miyamoto would be up for something like that, I'm sure he's just as busy as hideo kojima. I think nintendo's first party would be all for it if it stayed on the 3ds of course.
Weird powerleageofjustextraordinarygentlemen vibe.....
Level 5 is publishing it right? If so it will probably get localized.
I guess Matsuno's team has commanded a better understanding of the language than other studios or they're already trying to get Guild 01, if not Crimson Shroud itself, released overseas.
Here's hoping this makes it out of Japan.
Just my opinion, dawg!
The auspice is on the developer to give me the homework and the tests necessary to teach me how to play their games like a pro. I feel that's something that, thus far, Platinum hasn't done as well as Clover did. The combat systems and dynamics are just as good. It's the lessons that are missing.
Updating post!
Well put actually. Some found it boring because it didn't exactly "click". Viewtiful joe did it well. From the beginning, the style and the tutorial didn't just tell you what the buttons did, but what it was all about. Looking Viewtiful. Vanquish on the other hand just throws you the mechanics. Yes you know what the buttons do but you may not know how the game is designed to be played. Platinum failed to mention it's not much of a cover shooter. I say Vanquish did cover shooting the best because cover is simply something to use to catch your breath.
It's actually one of the few games i bothered to play on hard, and i feel that's the way the game was meant to be played. It's exhilarating on it's highest difficulty without devolving into a game solely about taking cover. I probably died over 30 times for one robot on hard, i still haven't beaten the last level. It's a game you actually get better at and make your own fun playing. It's also one of the few games where i enjoyed hunting for trophies, or simply creating little goals for myself(defeating to romanovs solely through roundhouse kicks!).
Let the record show that on the last level on hard you fight two robots. Both of which move faster than you aim, have melee attacks, attacks that cause you to overheat, more health to each of them, and seeking attacks.
There are games about cover, and then there are games where you can take cover.
I hope there is a sequel, and I hope it does more to teach players how to get to that expert level of play where the game truly becomes one of the best in the genre.
What i find most interesting about vanquish, other than smoking being both cool and a tactical move, is what it might have been. It was set to be a very different game. No sam gideon, simply three pilots controlling a robot, each with there own style of gameplay, with a robot dog that served as an inventory and movable cover.
Instead it's really a third person shooter through japanese eyes. The suits design resembles a samurai, and so does his pose when standing still. He doesn't even have a walking animation. There's a weird amount of depth to it all.
I just remembered godhand is on psn. Into my cart it goes.
