G4TV has awarded Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as both Best Xbox 360 game, and the Best Overall game of the show. A special congrats goes out to everyone at Infinity Ward for all of their hard work! When asked for a comment, Grant Collier, president of Infinity Ward, thought deep and hard and added:
"We are extremely thrilled to be bringing home G4's top honor, among a showing of strong contenders, from this years E3. The team at infinity Ward has been eager to share their excitement in creating Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and E3 provided the perfect forum to showcase the title among our peers, retailers and media."
Your very own beloved Dtoid staff had a chance to play a little hands on and see the game in its full glory last week. It really does live up to the hype. While contrary to what you may have heard, there is no tentative release date as of yet but it will be coming sometime this Fall. Until then, there will be a beta release on Xbox Live coming next month. Erections.

W00t! Call of Duty 4! It does look good.
I'm not surprised by the news. I've been in love with infinity ward ever since CoD2.
Then again all we've gotten are trailers and trailers, who cares at this point.
If the little birdy is correct, will we have to buy Dtoid paraphernalia and plug it into our consoles to access the COD4 beta like we did with Crackdown to get the Halo 3 beta? Does this mean the Dtoid shirts come with USB cables?

Yeah I'd heard it was going to be on it but wasn't sure. Good to hear a confirmation on that.

Activision still published it but it was developed by Treayarch instead of Infinity Ward. That's not the point though, it sucked.
